Back in 1970 I was in the 8th grade&I had a teacher that was part of a group of Christians that smuggled a suitcase of Bibles into Moscow during the sunmmer of 1969. Japanese believe in Shintoism, the emperor acts the head of shinto church. In China we don't really worship the Emperor we worshipped Power the emperor has. TJe Japanese where actually quite conservative as well, and they rejected Christianity even more than what the Chinese did. In the future, when more research has been done on Chinese philosophy I think a different picture of Chinese history of ideas will be painted. Christianity has two fundamental beliefs. Love God and love others because He loved you. I Corinthians 13:4-8 tells what love looks like. If you meet a christian that isn't being love to other people, they're not a christian. Many "christians" don't even read the bible, so they still think that it says to "follow the rules and go to church" and you'll get into heaven. The Gospel says "you do not get into heaven by following the rules. it is only by accepting that Jesus paid the penalty for you."

Back in 1970 I was in the 8th grade&I had a teacher that was part of a group of Christians that smuggled a suitcase of Bibles into Moscow during the sunmmer of 1969. His story was amazing how they prayed that the suitcase with the Bibles would not be opened. The Russian custom workers opened every other suitcase but let that last one with the Bibles through&some Russian Christians got their Bible. Either God anwsered these prayers or their was a mistake with evolution.

Missionaries instigated Second opium war & they also caused problems & uproars- making chinese peasants to resort to Boxer's rebellions. TJe Japanese where actually quite conservative as well, and they rejected Christianity even more than what the Chinese did. However, it is important to note that China was put under much more pressure from western countries than Japan.

The main emphasis of Chinese culture is filial piety and ancestral worship. cultural revolution was mindless worship of Mao and destruction of chinese artifacts /antique. The worship of mao was really a 3000 year old traditon of emperor worship. Mao is the exact reason why we should never worship human being, which is one of the most important value in christianity

@HanChinese1 If you read Chinese philosophy you also know that there are many writers who opposed the worship of Emperor. Actually, Mencius is in many way quite a democratic thinker. In the future, when more research has been done on Chinese philosophy I think a different picture of Chinese history of ideas will be painted. One where we can actually se an even stronger yearning towards freedom of speech and ideas.

Christianity has two fundamental beliefs. Love God and love others because He loved you. I Corinthians 13:4-8 tells what love looks like. If you meet a christian that isn't being love to other people, they're not a christian. Many "christians" don't even read the bible, so they still think that it says to "follow the rules and go to church" and you'll get into heaven. The Gospel says "you do not get into heaven by following the rules. it is only by accepting that Jesus paid the penalty for you."

Romans is almost entirely about justification by faith alone and not by works. The people that hate christianity don't hate christianity in itself, they hate christians, and rightly so, because we have so many prideful fake christians running around telling people they're all sinners and are going to hell and that they're way better people. A christian isn't someone who is better than the guy next to him. It's the guy who realizes he's not.

Scythianus' pupil Terebinthus supposedly presented himself as a "Buddha" ("he called himself Buddas" Cyril of Jerusalem) and became well known in Judaea. The same author says his books and knowledge were taken over by Mani, and became the foundation of the Manichean doctrine.

Please remember Christians are allowed to worship in China. Problem is only approved churches are allowed. In the citys churches are huge. However in the country the churches are not approved. We need to ask officials in villages to allow them as the residents are afraid. If they ask then they may be found out. There is a great calling here for Christians..............its not like there are few of them there. We hope to encourage the government to allow more churches which is up to the locals

Should all Buddhists, Taoists, and Confucianists in China convert to Christianity? No, I don't think so because that would make Buddhism a dead religion and the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama totally forgotten and the belief and doctrine of karma and reincarnation decline, especially Taoism and Confucianism. Buddhism, as well as Taoism and Confucianism means a lot to most Chinese. Perhaps Christianity, Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism should co-exist.
