  • Wow that guy is an asshole. There are good and bad people everywhere. It doesn't make you a better person, to say Nigeria is packed with criminals and scammers, That's your ignorance speaking. Just saying. About speaking, Nigeria has lots of languages, English is just 1 official language, If she spoke in Yoruba, she would still speak well, If a french person spoke comprehensible English, would it make them any less French? You're no better than any ol' "crook or scammer" -Ignorance is a disease

  • Awesome!!! Asa is an amazing artist! i wish her great success !!!

  • Her versitility is reminiscent of Eunice Waymon known also as Nina Simone

  • Asa will you marry me ! i will teach you more songs

  • @ifyromeo002 lol she doesn't need teaching, you need tutoring :P

  • asa you r so real, no trace of pretense in your act. and you are really born to sing. god bless you and favour u in all your plans , amen. best of luck.

  • @ayomide84 riigh.. Cool to see that the two languages have something in common!

  • I hope she goes places!!!!!!!

  • This Oyibo is luvin it. Up Naija! Wonderful voice, truly talented lady.

  • @matthewstokefc have u ever been to igeria...how many educated nigerians do u know?shithead!

  • In Portuguese, 'Asa' would mean 'wing'

  • @xxxthagodfatherxxx @ Close in yoruba language means either Eagle Or Culture.

  • @oladapo007 Oh that's interesting!

  • SHUT UP . SHE AINT BRITISH .

  • u must be a new brand of idiot..new to the scene and hell bent on spreading your stupidity on the poor masses..

at what point in my post did i EVER say or infer that she was british??

u have to be british to have lived in england or some other place??

i said she speaks with a british dialect....i've met many nigerians in my time, the most educated that were raised in nigeria and even though they speak proper english/grammar..u can tell they've lived most their life there..asa doesnt...

  • @dopemcee she was born in france, grew up in nigeria and den went back to france as an adult..dat should clear ur doubts or answer ur questions

  • @dopemcee in Nigeria we are taught in a British Standard in English

  • i live in britain and the people here rarely 'speak well'

  • @dopemcee lol, dats not a british accent...shes just an average well-spoken(due to education) nigerian...gosh

  • @dopemcee this comment is very offensive and ignorant. so, a nigerian has to have live abroad to speak well. it's very clear that

you don't know what a british accent sounds like

you don't know what a nigerian accent sounds like

and you dont know what an american accent sounds like

i was born and raised in nigeria, i now live abroad and i can tell you this is a very nigerian accent. many nigerians do speak well and not all american or british people do

  • @kanadah09 if you're mad..well you can fuck off..

i mean she doesnt speak with a thick nigerian accent...i've heard nigerians from nigeria speak YOU WOULD KNOW.

me saying she speaks well has zero to do with grammar and everything to do with the dialect/accent that she speaks with..

so kindly fkk off...and fkk nigeria too..a nation packed with criminal and scammers...once in a while a few good ones..but mostly crooks..

  • @dopemcee wow, you did not need to go there! You are quite ignorant though and I'm just really sad for you.

  • I'm nigerian & proud. You can hate me all you can. Hit your head in the wall or jump the bridge if u can take it! YO!

  • well done asa

  • you make me proud of my roots

im not from nigeria but from bénin

    but anyway AFRICANS ARE BROTHERS

    YOUR SONGS ARE WONDERFUL

    WE ARE WITH U

  • eloquently spoken

  • im proud of this girl. she's the biggest tin right now in nigeria, everybody, i mean everybody likes her songs. Her album is packed.

  • Go on girl!

  • love her

  • Asa is the next big artiste from Nigeria to blow up wordlwide. Her album is comparable to Tracey Chapman and India.Arie, if not better because of the use (and mix) of her native Yoruba language.

Asa sings from the heart, and from another place much deeper and only known to her. Pure genius.

    Ayo Shonaiya, R70 World UK

  • I so feel you on this. I am definitely buying this album. I can attest that this song tears my conscience...our attitudes...towards our nation...our society...our "ki lo kan mi"..."i don't care" ....apathetic tendencies...attitudes towards our communities and indeed society as a whole.

Ride on Sis....we are with you on this.

    Jide Ibitoye.

  • U tell em girl...
