  • What's the flanger settings? I have one and can never quite dial it in!

  • 1-2 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 11 o'clock.

  • Hi! Congrat. I love to hear this sound. Can you put a video about your hand in the scale playin this ? 1:04 to 1:09 is awsome

  • damn...that's really it.

  • Long live analog!!! The echoplex beats digital hands down.

  • Is that the 2006 flanger with reticon or the 2009 reissue with panasonic chip? It sounds great! But... that makes the sound become alive is the echoplex! Very Very nice! Great playing too!

  • Thanks. Panasonic.

  • hey man, It's great...you could say me, how you configure your delay for this song???...Thanks a lot, muchas gracias hombre

  • analog effects rules!!!

  • Seriously WOW!!!

  • The holy grail of strat tones...beautiful..

  • Thanks.

  • do u have a EP-3 for sell?

  • I do not.

  • what about the echoplex guys?

  • Very nice. You take tone seriously! i like that

  • Thanks. I do.

  • Just awesome David.

    Killer sound. I love.

I'm getting that comp and flanger.

  • Thank you.

  • Great job !!!

  • Thanks.

  • Lovely. Great combination of gear. The Hartman Flanger (or Electric Mistress) with a Dyna Comp-like compressor + EP-3 are a great team for stuff like this.

  • Thanks.

  • That sounds amazing. I am on the fence about replacing my stock DEM with the Hartman Flanger, it just does not seem to be doing it for me these days, but then again I am also looking at the Hartman BC108, and the Hartman Compressor..........I'll just buy everyone they make!!!! :))

  • Thank you. Hartman makes some great pedals.

  • ohhhwwww, it sounds very very good to my ears.....! how did u set the compressor? (Just curiosity, I have no compressor pedals )

  • Thanks. Vol 10 o'clock, Comp 11 o'clock.

  • I think that's what I mean - I've not played an Armstrong type personally, I only know what they sound like from recordings.

I was hoping that it has that kind of energetic sound that you expect from an Armstrong type, perhaps more so without the noise. As for punch, I guess I mean "pop" - specifically that kind of tone you want more of when you're playing chicken-pickin' tunes. And specifically more energetic and punchy than a Ross or Optical compressor which are also useful in their own way.

  • Lovely! Do you find that the Hartman gives a good bit of punch like a regular Orange Squeezer?

  • Thanks. Not sure what you mean by punch. It has a lot of bloom and sparkle with lots of compression like the Orange Squeezer.

  • Intersting demo..would be very interested also to hear a Strymon El Capistan take place of EP-3.....just for giggles of course....

  • @CRANKYONE100

I did a comparison of those two units. You can find it on YouTube by typing in:
