I have a neighbour who has five children and three of her kids have moved out to live with their fathers..they are still young and not old enough to live on their own,the remaining two are constantly screamed at,dirty,full of head lice and called every foul and abusive name going. I have no sympathy for her or her partner as they have both taken every neighbour for complete mugs time and time again..leave the Diggers alone,their parenting skills are awesome!!

just so you guys know, they aren't on any type of public assistance, even before they got their tv show. They own properties they rent to businesses, trade real estate, and a lot more.

I'm not one to normally comment on videos but everyone who feels pity for these kids also need to see the kids side, they are raised in an environment where they can choose their own lives and what they choose is to follow what they have grown up with which does include being a mother or an older sibling to their brothers and sisters. @baddave83 Because the Octomom is a SINGLE woman who was already having problems supporting her children and under went IVF to have EIGHT more children. Jim-Bob and Michelle Duggar, on the other hand, have been married for over 25 years, had 14 children and one on the way who were well taken care of BEFORE Discovery/TLC approached them about doing a one hour show. The big house was also being built BEFORE they started doing telelvision.

I love this family, the only I dont really like is that I have seen in a magazine (which might not be true) that they might have a 20th kid. I mean they already almost lost baby Josie, I just dont understand why they would be ready for another one. I still love the family tho!

Even with 19 kids I would be willing to bet their kids feel more loved than a family who only has 2 kids whose parents are never there for them. They have every right to have that many! We surely don't want the government telling us how many kids we can have!

They are teaching their children to be productive members of society. I absolutely love the job they are doing with their children and I wish we had more families like this. I pray you are able to be a stay home mom as well. It is amazing how much critism I come across for homeschooling. I will tell you this though, my kids are well behaved and respectful which says a lot. They don't have everything other kids do. They don't watch tv. But they have parents who love them dearly and that is priceless!

I believe living according to God's Word is the best way. I don't know how people can raise children without God and morality. But, I guess that explains why our world is in the condition it is.
I don't hate the duggar family, but I personally don't agree with their gender roles, and how they view women as property (ie, passing authority of anna from her dad to josh.) but it's their decision to live that way, and I don't have to like it. :) I still think the kids are just amazing. the Duggars prioties are straight and good. a respectable part about them is they are finding a way to pay for all the needs of their 19 kids (not off welfare) and all their kids/their house are clean, healthy, and well kept. however, they won't STOP having kids and the human body wasn't meant for that many kids. also there are thousands and thousands of children who need a home, wouldn't it be more beautiful if they adopted even a fraction of those kids?

They do it out of the kindness of their hearts to go to places like el salvador and bring food to the children there. i don't know if you know this or not, i am adopted. @kindahokey and i wasn't adopted because my birth parents didn't love me or i was "unwanted" on the Earth. i was adopted because my birth parents loved me so much they wanted the best life possible for me. Mrs. Duggar was pregnant over 15 times (i believe she has 2 sets of twins), and i can understand if her and Jim Bob don't believe in birth control, but maybe they should stop doing IT.

Anyone can believe what they want, but this family seems kinda self righteous. They obviously have a "were better than the rest of you" mentality. I may not believe in ancient desert mythology and i may not teach it to my children, but that doesn't make my family any less good or real. Talmud accounts were written long before the New Testament was assembled. They provide clear evidence that Jesus did live. The Talmud does not embrace Christ as a deity and would have no reason to sanction his existence

@baddave83 Because the Octomom is a SINGLE woman who was already having problems supporting her children and under went IVF to have EIGHT more children. Jim-Bob and Michelle Duggar, on the other hand, have been married for over 25 years, had 14 children and one on the way who were well taken care of BEFORE Discovery/TLC approached them about doing a one hour show. The big house was also being built BEFORE they started doing telelvision.

I would rather have "Duggar" kids than "Jersey Shore" kids any day! Even with 19 kids I would be willing to bet their kids feel more loved than a family who only has 2 kids whose parents are never there for them. These are the kinds of kids society needs...decent, respectable, etc. It is RARE to find people with any morals or values nowadays. As for the # of kids...this is AMERICA! They have every right to have that many! We surely don't want the government telling us how many kids we can have!

They are teaching their children to be productive members of society. I absolutely love the job they are doing with their children and I wish we had more families like this. @kindahokey Thank you. I was one of those moms who had to be successful but after becoming a Christian I realized my kids were more important than making lots of money. I pray you are able to be a stay home mom as well. It is amazing how much critism I come across for homeschooling. I will tell you this though, my kids are well behaved and respectful which says a lot. They don't have everything other kids do. They don't watch tv. But they have parents who love them dearly and that is priceless!

I don't hate the duggar family, but I personally don't agree with their gender roles, and how they view women as property (ie, passing authority of anna from her dad to josh.) but it's their decision to live that way, and I don't have to like it. :) I still think the kids are just amazing. I do not like their view on having kids. I think they should have stopped a while ago because its bad for the mom and for the kids also. The kids dont get enough one on one attention. And my goodness, little Josie almost died and there was a thing on people magazine saying they are now ready for more. But these are my opinions. the Duggars prioties are straight and good. a respectable part about them is they are finding a way to pay for all the needs of their 19 kids (not off welfare) and all their kids/their house are clean, healthy, and well kept. however, they won't STOP having kids and the human body wasn't meant for that many kids. also there are thousands and thousands of children who need a home, wouldn't it be more beautiful if they adopted even a fraction of those kids?

i don't know if you know this or not, i am adopted. @kindahokey and i wasn't adopted because my birth parents didn't love me or i was "unwanted" on the Earth. i was adopted because my birth parents loved me so much they wanted the best life possible for me. Mrs. Duggar was pregnant over 15 times (i believe she has 2 sets of twins), and i can understand if her and Jim Bob don't believe in birth control, but maybe they should stop doing IT.
