Dewey Decimal was the first way I learned to sort my books. It still works for me. If the number is not in the front of the book, I type into a search engine, "Dewey decimal title or author.

Here's a no-fuss solution. Go to your favorite bookstore. Replicate how they organize their books. Done!
Anyone who owns substantial amount of books and frequent bookstores and libraries surely know how to organize books.

I have been collecting books for several years now and your advice is one of the best I have come across.
Might I also add that you have a beautiful volume to your hair and your eyes have such an elegance to them.
