in episode 4 jor el dident gave him the power to read other´s thoughts it was an explosion which damaged his ears and that made him hear everything louder than before. Before he can hear everything and after the explosion he got the power to hear even the thoughts. But the Sun healed his ear and the power were gone. Well i dont like that "Zod´s Return" i mean c´mon he and his "Army" came without powers to earth ?

@JustMazlum no clark went to the fortress in the episode and jor-el told him the explosion triggered the ability he implanted in clark as part of his training and that the power was only temporary and he did it so clark could learn to perceive human behavior better in order to protect them

a bit strange, Clark will fly eventually, though Jor el told him his powers come from within him, however in episode 4 he is going to give Clark the power to read other's thoughts. so.. weird contradicting himself really

Look, it's dead proven that Clark can't fly atm. Take the season 8's ep 11 for example: Legion. When the Legion confronts him, Clark _runs away_. The Legion follows, airborne. They ask "dude, what's with the ground transport", and Clark states that he cannot fly.

He hasn't been flying in those episodes, except when he has been taken over by black Kryptonite. That ep when he chases after the jet and rips the door off. The rest of the tip he has been doing the super man LEAP (leap tall buildings in a single bound etc) This leaping will eventually lead to his flying ability. You can see it here in this clip, it is a 45 degree vertical leap that propels him into the sky. It's just that the leaping is getting stronger and higher...imo

Zod has always been one of the top villians in Superman lore. if not the greatest villian. so I don't see what everyone is complaining about. He was responsible for Kyrptons destruction and much of the story lines have been related to his coming back in some form or fashion. Now he's back, Lets see what the writers can do.

In the comics, Doomsday did have one hand tied behind his back and (if I remember correctly) fell from outer space. The Justice League went to fight him but got the snot beat out of them. Meanwhile, Superman was being interviewed on T.V. During a commercial break, his super-hearing picks up the fight and he leaves to help the League.The League isn't making much progress.

Superman has them combine their powers all at once to destroy the monster.This leaves the heroes weak and weary after pouring out their power. The only thing damaged is Doomsday's arm brace. Doomsday pummels the League and moves on. Eventually, Doomsday makes it to Metropolis. Superman catches up to him and gives it everything he's got. The battle ends in front of the Daily Planet where both die.

Ive always liked smallville but dont know about anyone else, but last season felt like they just holding of clark being superman. With the clothes and him changing like if he is superman. it looked to me they wanna do superman. and they over tease it thats what they done last season. He always flown in the 100 ep he flew lana in the fortress and lois when they are on red krptonite love spell. also he flew upto a roof in last season i think. and he still say he cant fly.

You must remember, his flying ability is the last thing he will learn. He won't learn it until he truly starts embracing his destiny (in smallville). Also you also gotta remember that this is the "young clark kent" and like I said when he truly starts saving mankind and all that jazz, then he'll start flying.

And after seeing 0:04, I'm sure he'll be flying in Season 9. If not, something is wrong with the writers.

No, Clark has only flown in Smallville when he was either taken over by Jor-El, or rather him being taken over by his Kryptonian side, which would be Kal-el.

He has never flown before because he even says it himself "he's afraid to fly and his doesnt know how to yet".

Zod is a Kryptonian General that tried to overthrow the Kryptonian science council which led to a civil war, eventually Zod was captured and sentenced to an eternity in the Phantom Zone (extra-dimensional prison) by Jor-El.

One of Zod's 'followers' Zor-El (Superman's uncle) reprogrammed the Brain Interactive Construct (BrainIAC) to drill into the planet's core, destroying it.

Zod is set free by BrainIAC and him and Clark duke it out with Zod being destroyed by a Kryptonian crystal.

For some unknown reason Zod has come back in season 9, but the writers plan for it to be a younger version of Zod so what they are planning is far beyond me.

The point is that Zod is responsible for the destruction of Krypton and as "the last son" Clark is left with the responsibility of avenging the death of his family.

Oh my god it wasnt even a battle. That was literally 2 hits and a result that took 45 seconds to reach. Terrible.

Btw since when can a mediocre sized explosion be enough to kill Doomsday?

It didn't kill him, he's buried underground, which makes sense. In the comics, Doomsday started out buried underground and made his way up to Earth eventually.

In the comic version I read Doomsday was an intergalactic being who's origins had less than nothing to do with Krypton and he had one hand tied behind his back with some metal thats supposed to be nearly as tough as that stuff that makes up Wolverine's bone structure I don't recall if he was underground at the start though.

Regardless if Doomsday was in fact buried underground WTF was that last scene? Do you have any idea?

A finale is supposed to make you ask "whats next" not "whats going on"
