I think Hansi did a great job at this one...of corse, I mean we are all used to Barlow and I would say it fits Matt better, but Hansi did his own Version and not some sort of Barlow imitation. and I really like Kürsch, he's a great singer

I thought this was a very good version of a classic IE tune. Their version of Travel in Stygian is much better, but this was pretty cool as well. The audience for this show was awesome throughout.

Actually, based on what IE has done lately, I'd rather see Jon chuck that band and convince Hansi to make a full go of the D&W project. Both Crimson King & their debut album blow the hell out of everything IE has done since Something Wicked (although Gettysburg & Damien were pretty cool songs).

I don´t think it is out of his voice´s range. He had just bad day everyone can make a mistake and i saw Hansi make mistake 2x for whole live which is with such godlike singing incredible low number. And remember the end which Hansi screwed, Matt even doesn´t try to sing that high.

You have to understand that Hansi is NOT Matt Barlow there for he puts his own twist on things.

I'm not saying that this is Hansi's best work but its still amazing to hear two of my biggest inspirations going at it together as one.

I wish Blind Guardian and Iced Earth still toured together... :'(

Hansi has always been a singer, he just played Bass for the first few CDs, but later decided the band didn't need it so he could concentrate on his singing. I understand your disappointment with this song, but Hansi's not Matt.

I'm also in a band, and know what happens when our singer tries to sing songs that aren't in his range? He sounds like shit. D&W just decided to do covers of their favorite song from the band they're not in. Of course Hansi could sing Welcome to Dying and not this.
