  • Are you saying that if we 'desire' spiritual growth we are still being selfless when doing Seva? I thought even to want this isnt being selfless.

  • spiritual growth-meaning becoming close to our beloved lord, that is the only desire acceptable, to merge with the lord.

    selfless service to others is the food of the soul. you will loose the benefit of seva if you attatch any temporal rewards to it, and seva is nothing if you expect something in return

  • Thank you. I would have to disagree with you that "seva is nothing if you accept something in returen" because with the right bhav of selflessness, your daily work can be transformed into seva. You expect nothing and work selflessly to serve, but your paycheck is still going to show up on Friday. Correct?
