Just for clarification for those that didn't know Ibby wrote this song. John's version is a wonderful tribute to a great songwriter/singer.

I love this song. The words are so descriptive...every phrase has a special memory. The old red chair...the like a bubble on a windy day...warm as the mountain in the sunshine...on snow line, etc. Words that bring back pleasant memories. Great song!

ibby told a great story about seeing John singing Rippling Waters on the Johnny Carson show at a time when Ibby was not feeling well.  At the end of the story

he says John saved his life. John's interpretation of this song is beautiful!
