Imagine going into an area of hundreds of terrorists with 11 of your brothers next to you knowing that there is a chance of some or all of you dying, or captured and tortured. worked with the SEAL's doing air for them in iraq a few years back...My experience was that they were team players who respected all branches and MOS's. If you were good at what you did you had there respect.

@wdebord3 SEAL medics go through the Army Special Forces 18X medic training course. Part of the course includes time in ambulances with paramedics. I don't know if SEALS receive civilian NREMT certification. The 18X course would give you more than enough knowledge and skill to challenge the national paramedic exam. it would be a smart thing for a SEAL medic to do who is thinking about life after the Navy.
@ffryan its 18D not X the X is the pipeline program. I however, did not know seals went through delta school. I am looking at reclassing and going to be a seal. I may go be a SEAl medic just so i would have a fall back career
@MrCpe9775 18D is the US Army Special Forces Medic MOS. 18X is a completely separate thing. SEAL medics go through the 18D medic course, along with Green Berets.
@wdebord3 You will have to get through BUDS first, then basic jump school. I've heard of some SEALS being send for 18D training before SQT, and some after. Express your interest, and if you have the right ASVAB scores and the Teams need you as a medic, they'll send you.

An impressive man as all SEALs are. They say only about 30% make it through BUDS training out of all of the candidates but at the same time nearly 95% of the Navy officers coming out of Anapolis make it through BUDS.

There is no level for SEALs, all SEAL teams are equal and perform excellent. I'm no SEAL but I'm just saying. It was also said by Richard Marcinko in Rogue Warrior I think. They hide behind their technological weapons, not fight hand to hand like the Vietcong for example, would not survive long in the Amazon forest or the hills and the slums of rio de janeiro. @wdebord3 SEAL medics go through the Army Special Forces 18X medic training course. Part of the course includes time in ambulances with paramedics. I don't know if SEALS receive civilian NREMT certification. The 18X course would give you more than enough knowledge and skill to challenge the national paramedic exam. it would be a smart thing for a SEAL medic to do who is thinking about life after the Navy.

@ffryan its 18D not X the X is the pipeline program. I however, did not know seals went through delta school. I am looking at reclassing and going to be a seal. I may go be a SEAl medic just so i would have a fall back career

@MrCpe9775 18D is the US Army Special Forces Medic MOS. 18X is a completely separate thing. SEAL medics go through the 18D medic course, along with Green Berets.

@wdebord3 You will have to get through BUDS first, then basic jump school. I've heard of some SEALS being send for 18D training before SQT, and some after. Express your interest, and if you have the right ASVAB scores and the Teams need you as a medic, they'll send you.

An impressive man as all SEALs are. They say only about 30% make it through BUDS training out of all of the candidates but at the same time nearly 95% of the Navy officers coming out of Anapolis make it through BUDS.

There is no level for SEALs, all SEAL teams are equal and perform excellent. I'm no SEAL but I'm just saying. It was also said by Richard Marcinko in Rogue Warrior I think. By the way this interviewer sucks very much. No one will ever know the real faces of a SEAL until they can actually be a SEAL themselves. And yes they are a brotherhood. Whoever fucks with me is a dumbass COD kid and they will deal with my M14. Future naval aviator here hopefully.
