It's weird coz I tried playing the 'masterpieces' version in ssbb, but I just couldn't get into it. I guess I just didn't like having to press the 'A' button repeatedly to shoot (something the AVGN scolded Silver Surfer for) and that when you charge up a shot by holding down 'A', you have to press it again rather than just release it.

Not to mention that the 'masterpieces' version doesn't even have the (apparently good) voice-acting.

If I'm missing something here please tell me but atm I'm unconvinced to buy it on VC.

supermetalsonic, are you using wii controller? It only work with gamecube controller or the classic controller

did you know, that at 4:57 you could enter the water fountain to the right if you do something? I forget what though. :p

I love Starfox games. I have not played a single Starfox game I didn't like. Starfox 64 is one of my favorite Starfox games if not my favorite of all. I really want to download this on my virtual console, but my brother had to convince me to get Mario Kart 64 instead. Oh well, I'll get it next time.

lylat wars is awsome. i hav the 64 game and i bought VC yeasterday. im used to my dodgy 64 control stick so the classic control is super sensitive for me. is the gamecube control got better control stick cause i might buy one

for this video i was using the classic controller, but you can also use the gamecube controller as well

Virtual console's emulation looks pretty nice. There's a few (very minor) differences from the original N64 version though, particularly the way it renders translucencies. For example, the glow from the Arwing's engine looks much brighter in the N64 version. Overall though, I'm pretty impressed with the emulation.
