I don't think the beginning music was ever in the film (which I saw again yesterday).
I think the desert scene music only begins at around 1:00 (the sunrise scene) and also when the whole orchestra comes in at 1:20 I think in the film they're more strings than brass as we hear here.
It is waning at times. It begins with a dawning that one is not sure, if it's a twilight. However, it become very evident that it is the brightness of the Arabian sun, and the powerful heat of its day.
I saw this movie when I was a lad. I must say, it changed my life, for the better. What a study in history, geography, psychology and topography. If only school was like that lesson in a story. A true story, might I add.

Meraviglioso...E' una colonna sonora che tocca le corde dell'anima. Se la si ascolta con gli occhi chiusi, sembra di attraversare il deserto su di un cammello: incredibile!
@pattyestrada66 i think it's the Ondes Martenot, an instrument created in 1928, and is a more modern electric sort of instrument. among other things, its something that elmer bernstein was particularly fond of and used copiously in his later work.
Lawrence is indeed respected and well-known...what about you? Are you respected and well-known - you have no right to taunt him....However Lawrence has every right to come back from the dead and put a nice big middle finger in your face

Does anyone know what the instrument is that comes in at 4:13?
Whatever it is, it has a weird timbre, totally parallels Lawrence's eccentric character. Love this movie:)
