For y'all who are having issues with "security setting not supported" it's due to the fact the DS only supports WEP security which is an old less secure method. If you are worried about setting your security lower you can enable MAC filtering which will allow only devices to connect that you allow by putting the MAC addresses on a list in the routers settings.

depends what you mean by wired. Bottom line is NO Router NO WiFi. if you want you can buy a USB connector for the DS to get online

ok my house does have wireless router which does give strong internet connections, but all the computers in my house are laptops, will i still be able to connect as long as i have the router?

ugh more problems...i typed in admin and admin and it said they were incorrect adn when i searched for an access point it said the access points security settings are not supported by nintendo? does that mean i cnat get on wifi with my router??

ok what it means is that you have your access point's security on Private in other words it doesnt show up for certain devices now you can always go to the store and buy a USB cord and connect it to your computer and to you DS and WA-LA you can go online with your Pokemon game or with any other game that you want to go online with. Pretty much until you can find a way to get into your routers settings that USB cord is your best bet. Hoe this helped.. Btw the cord can range from 15 to 40 Dollars

It could be 2 things : One your router does not support NDS WiFi. Two: the settings on the router have to be changed

it may be that your router is not compatible with the nintendo DS or its just the server malfunctioning

Help! I was having trouble so I went into options and clicked erase. Does that only erase my connections i had set up? Or does it erase my friend code for EVERY ds game i own?

well it doesnt erase your Friend Codes but it does erase the connection

oh well maybe you typed in the wrong ip cause theres a very small chance of taking you there.

i have a question on the network connection details on the list there different things some say ipv4 default gate way and dhcp and dns server also one say ivp4 wins server or ivp4 ip address or subnet mask it also have ivp6 default gate and dns server which do i choose i got confused when u said choose ip

Damn you make it sound so difficult but it really isnt, pick the one that has ip address or ip gateway thats it
