  • really pretty hair

  • @dancehyperness Thank you :)

  • can baking chocolate chips be melted and used as a substitute?

  • @ilemangu Yes, but I strongly suggest Ghirardelli chocolate chips. They can be found in most regular grocery stores. Thanks Dear :)

  • For those who have no fridge, how can he do to make the chocolate solid?

  • @06cloud Try letting it sit in a cool place in the kitchen to harden. It will just take a little longer.

  • I'll make one of this, for my GIRLFRIEND!!! :D

First things, first, get the ingredients from the store. -.-

    and then make IT!!!

but, tomorrow, I will go the store. -.-

  • love this recipe..I'll make this on this year..thank you for sharing

  • @babi3italia You're welcome :D

  • love it

  • I loveee it xD im gonna try making this for valantine's day xD

  • Funny how you giggle every time you mentioned nuts!!! Lov it and subscribing.

  • You are a genius

  • Will it melt if you place it outside for too long? Because like those chocolates we buy in marts, they are not refrigerated and it won't melt.

  • @ljjclara With any chocolate, you want to make sure it stays in cool spot like the kitchen counter or table and not next to the stove, for example. It should be ok.

  • Ty

  • instead of Belgium chocolates can we substitute it with something else?

  • @BgirLbaMx66 Ghirardelli chocolate is fine

  • @BgirLbaMx66 I use chocolate melts to make bark with, and its just as good! And a little cheaper! =]

  • love it! thank you so much! :D

  • @winewynema You're welcome :)

  • can you make a video on How to Make a Chocolate Heart For Valentines * The Medium Sized Ones * *Large ones if possible * Thank you !!

  • Could I melt some truffles? Thanx for your help :))

  • @Gooogooo777 I wouldn't because truffles are already made a certain way and sometimes covered in coco. You can use some Ghirardelli chocolate which is in most grocery stores.

  • You made this recipe so easy to understand, thank you so much!!!

Cant wait to try this next weekend!!!!

  • and by the way did u temper the chocoalte? do u have to?

  • @candyapple1766 No I didn't temper the chocolate. I just used the double broiler. You can bypass this method and temper the chocolate using the microwave if you wanted.

  • i love this tutorial :)) and can i ask where can u get the belgian chocolate disk things? the only chocolate that is in a disk shape that i can find is the fake coating chocolate kind:/

  • @candyapple1766 "Fake" coating kind? Well you can buy Ghirardelli chocolate. It holds up really well to candy making.

  • Oh my gosh this looks yummy!! I am so trying this.

  • you seem like that kind of person that I just wanna hug. you seem.... how do I say it?.... motherly? anyways, I have a lot of friend of your shape and they are so easy to cuddle with. hope sou didn't get offended, I think you are really beautifull

  • Wow this looks amazing can u put almonds in besides pecans

  • @jenica2017 Yes! It's whatever you like :)

  • @CookingWithCarolyn thanks for responding i wont to make these for my mom

  • I love your recipe. Just a suggestion, you should have transferred the hot melted chocolates into a cooling bowl and leave them to cool for a few minutes. This process is called tempering and it gives your chocolate a better consistency, texture and it will snap easily. I learned this from an expert and through reading. I hope that helps :)

  • @TaQyY333 Tempering the chocolate will definitely cool it but don't you have move faster before it solidifies again?

  • Just a suggestion tht you can just melt it in the microwave i tried tht and its alot easier :D

  • @flikyoume Yep that works also. I actually did that on the Valentine's Day Choco. recipe for this year :) You like choco. too !

  • @123RAZZER123 LOL Well I knew you would go there... the weak ones always do. Have a great day :D

  • Looks like ur celebrating Valentines Day everyday

  • @123RAZZER123 Awwwww Look everyone, the LITTLE BOY has something to say... LOL Step back and let the grown folks through! Wrong one :)

  • Thanks Carolyn... great recipe. I particularly like the sprinkling of the white chocolate on the other side :) I like your piano music at the end of the video. Do you have the sheet music for this???

  • @Christopherfife No I don't have the sheet music, but I'm glad you like the recipe! Thanks so much for watching:)

  • Thank you !! it helped a fair bit :] im only 13, and mine turned out wonderful !! Thank yuo so very much , and your very beautiful as well <3 :]

  • @Remember3713 Thank you so much and I'm glad your candy turned out great. Keep cooking, you're only bound to get better at it :)

  • ym ym ym

  • top idea love will give it a go thanks

  • damn!i cant watch this!!!!it looks amazing and now i want chocolate!!!greeting carolyn

  • can you make it into diff. shapes?

  • @XxprittyinglitterxX Thanks for watching. You'll love it!

  • how long will the chocolate last? :) as in, when is it best until?

and also, if i keep it in the fridge and take it out, will it melt even though stored in room temperature after?

    thanks! :D

  • @h4CkSigN No, you can store it at room temperature in an airtight container. Thanks for watching.

  • I've decide to do this for my bf , thanks for the recipe ;)

  • Thank you so much for sharing your great recipe with us! God, it looks so awesome.

  • Thank you, I will let you know if the recipient received it ok!!! I love your clips by the way:-)

  • By the way can this be mailed during the winter months? I want to send it for a Valentines Gift! Thanks!!!!!

  • @silkorganza It shouldn't be a problem sending it because it really should be stored at room temperature anyway. Good idea!

  • Hey there..I made this yesterday and LOVED it..I used cranberries, raisins and almonds..Just one question..up till how long can they be stored?

  • @EverythingPink17 I stored mine in an airtight container and it lasted until we ate. I know it was over a week. In most households it usually doesn't last that long lol. Thanks for asking and I'm glad you like the recipe :)

  • This is such a great video..I got chocolate today and will be making this tomorrow ..thanks :D

  • @EverythingPink17 I'm glad you like the video and thanks so much for watching :)

  • You are a fantastic teacher AND your clips are so CLEAR! The only comment I have is shouldn't we "toast" the nuts first? That seems to bring out the flavor more. I love your style and thank you!

  • @silkorganza Thanks so much for watching. Yes you can toast the nuts if they're not already toasted. I tend to toast nuts that are labeled "raw" which means they haven't been toasted. If I "warm up" toasted nuts it's in a dry pan and I don't walk away LOL. In this particular recipe all the nuts are already roasted. But you're on the right track :D Thanks again.

  • Nice and i well make this tomorrow

  • Great, thank you so much.

  • Looks good

  • Thank you for your swift, kind reply! I can get Ghiardelli chocolate much easier than the other options! Can't wait to try it!!!!! Happy Holidays to you!

  • Can you use regular toll house milk chocolate chips? The candy "melts" don't taste real:-( Thank you!

  • @silkorganza You could if you wanted to. I got these at a baking shop for bakers and candy artists. I always taste them before I buy them becuz you're exactly right some do "taste funny" . I also like Ghirardelli chocolate which is found right in the grocery stores on the baking isle.

  • EXCELLENT video! You are a terrific teacher. I'm going to try this.

  • @lcd1023 Thanks so much :)

  • Yea it was made with love...better then some store bought kind..Why its way better to Make homemade Chocolate, AND REALLY GREAT IDEA For V-days <3

  • Another great variation of chocolate bark is you could make it with white chocolate, milk chocolate, or dark whatever your preference. They all taste good with this variation is Rice Krispies with M&M's. OMG it's soooo good!! And to make it festive for any holiday for example Christmas get the Christmas colored M&M's and it looks cute!! :))

  • @stina10593 Exactly, this recipe is definitely a canvas for endless possibilities!

  • @CookingWithCarolyn Yep and it's easy too.

  • 'you can put as much or as little nuts as you want...I like a lot'

    *chuckle*

    ...ROFL!

  • that made me drewl:D

  • thnx for sharing....i wud like to ask what other nuts we can add other than what you added...nd btw what nuts did you add?

  • @misskratika I used pecans and macadamias, but you can use any kind of nuts you choose. That's fun!

  • Thank you so much for sharing, I am going to try this! Could you please post tutorials on how to make canied/butter toffee peanuts or honey spoons if you know how to make those? Love you vids! :)

  • @exotikk1 Thanks so much :)

  • One sound : Mmmmmmmm.....

  • LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • for a "large" woman, you dress very well, and since you are in the kiten, it is good to tie your hair up, but with your face shape, i think it would look better down

one question as well, want is a bark, all i could think of was tree bark, but that didn't make sence...

    bye

  • @bloosygirl Thanks, I do wear my hair up and down, it just depends on my mood for the "full figured" diva that I am LOL. Ok, yes bark is on trees but the term is also used in candy making. It just means a randomly shaped piece of chocolate candy that can be broken with your hands. Hope this cleared things up :)

  • I love how you make your recipes easy & simple to follow... Thanks for sharing!!!

  • I'm sooo Hungry right now T3T

  • Delicious and romantic. Nice try!

  • @goodbite Thanks it's one of my favorites too :)

  • Oh my word! How dee-li-shus !! One question, can I use wax paper in lieu of parchment ?

  • @swadefoxx Yes you can.

  • That looks so delicious! The video was very well put together...thanks for the lesson!

  • need!

  • If I was your neighbor I would swing by and dry some! Thank you for showing us this.

  • that is sooo fun!!!

  • koo koo thx agan

  • thankyou veary much :3 and do you think it would be bad to add sugar? or no?

  • @high3school3hero Well, if you do it'll be reeeeally sweet and it might not melt right in the chocolate. I used dark and white choco. Try using milk chocolate for this recipe first and you'll probably satisfy your sweet tooth that way :))

  • thankyou veary much :3

  • man i'm noticing that ur recipes are really good quality!

  • WANT!

  • LOL!

  • Nice recipe :) Thanks!

  • thanks for sharing, my favorite food, CHOCOLATE, get my mom to try to make this :))

  • I will definitely try this. thx.

  • i love this vid

you do know those molds are chocolate lollipop molds, right> thats what the long thing indent is for, the stick

it doesn't mstter, you can use it the way you did, but yeah

  • @PopTVTeacher Thanks for watching! Yeah I am quite aware that they are chocolate lollipop molds, but they have a dual purpose... with or without a stick. That's why I made some earlier to show how they would turn out. In addition, I really wanted to show how you don't even need a mold and make the easy chocolate bark with your favorite toppings! Uuuum :) No worries, there are no mistakes when making chocolate candy!

  • This would be a great xmas idea, I saw sandra lee make this on semi homemade.

  • hey! thank you very much! you gave me an idea. thank you!! ^^

  • yummy!! and nice video..

    5* 4 u..

  • Thanks!

  • wait...why don't you just eat the belgian chocolate?

  • You can! But melting it down and adding other flavors makes it even MORE interesting. Marshmallows, nuts, raisins, liquers... The candy stores do it and charge a small mint. You can do it too! :)

  • I have some of those candy mold and I make chocolates for valentine's day every year. It's really easy on the pockets and even easier to make. Good Video!!!

  • looks delicious! yum yum!

  • hello i just watched your video, n i think im goin to make chocolates with your recipe. hope its done sweet n delicious. bunch of thanks :D

  • This is very pretty and easy to do. I made chocolates like that for chanukah one year. Very easy to do. Actually, I took milk chocolate creme de menth chocolate candies, melted them one by one in the microwave and carefully put them in molds. Very well received.

  • Ooooh looks good Carolyn and it looks very easy to make.

  • Hey Egiggles, it is easy to make and even easier to eat. lol

  • ohhhh...that look so so good!

  • Hi there hun...try it !

  • OMG, my grandmother would have loved those molds! Wish I had one of them stores around.

Very nice video, love how you cover everything needed and ad that bit of touch!

    Thanks for sharing!

    OMG so good!

  • Hey JimboJitsu, hope all is well. You might want to try Micheal's or a specialty store for cake decorating and candy making. But remember, the bar needs no mold lol. Just make it, refrigerate it, and eat it!

  • ah, well no white chocolate for me then...

Would milk and dark chocolate work instead?

You keep this up and I may never buy another candy bar!

  • Of course you can use dark and milk chocolate! The contrast would be good and not too sweet. Oh, you can also add some mini marshmallows for a "rocky road" effect...mmmm!

  • This looks great girl!!!!

  • And it tastes even better!!! Uummmm

  • Thanks Carolyn I am going to try to make some homemade chocolate Bars,
