Skyrim - Containment: Protect the town of winterhold

The best way i found to protect the town was to try and get one of those perm looking creatures attention and try and get them to follow you up the the path towards the winter college and fight it there where the first pool of magical water is. You plus the mage and the dumb ass the uses his fists will take it down fast. They the all come one at a time maybe two at a time. Its much easier try it. LIKE SO PEOPLE CAN SEE!

for me, the most effective thing was to use the shout "storm call" as this repeatedly zaps them with lightning and kills them quickly

I'm a mage i used flames for this battle then switched to a 1h and flames when i got to low mana worked pretty well for me

Is the Spell 'Sparks' very effective on the Abnormal Arcane force things? I keep dying while protecting Winterhold. :|

@Cherrychan88 They all seem the same to me tbh. In other games fire can counter frost etc but in this game it doesn't seem to make a big difference.

Heh, not really. I'm doing it on Master difficulty, that's why it took me way more time. Flame cloack helps though.

@bovy85 This was on adept, maybe your character just sucks.
