Her top wasn't the problem, it was her lower piece that was somewhat not long enough. So many dancer shorts would have been better. But like everyone else says, they judge the dancing not the costume. Ignore that people. These two danced beautifully together. I mean, their turns from 1:57 to 2:33 were PERFECTLY together. It's amazing! She's definately talented. They go really well together!
i'm sorry but even though the dance is amazing..it's really distractive when she just wears that. I worry it's gonna start showing parts we don't wanna see. srsly..it doesn't hurt to wear those dance shorts.

What's this big deal about her not wearing tights anyway? A dance is a dance whether a person is dressed like a hobo or a fashion queen. It's not the clothing that matters, it isn't a fashion show.

I've met both of them personally. They're amazing dancers, but they're egos get in the way. They're incredibly rude, I hate to say it. I just wish that the most amazing dancers, didn't have the most terrible attitdudes. But it's NOT they're faults. I've met their parents too, and they're the ones to blame. It's the parents fault that they make fun of other dancers, and say terrible things to dancers, and shove through crowds. I wish they're attitudes were great like they're dancing.

a lot of dancers don't wear tights these days. the only reason why i wear them is because in minnesota, high school dance teams are required to be fully covered. at my studio i don't wear them.

@ForTheLoveOfLautner Totes agree, but at one compitition, one judge told us that our shorts made our legs look big, and our black jazz shoes made our legs look short. And that was all he comented on. Her outfit is fine for dancing. Beautiful dancing guys.

I thought this was gorgeous! No one should be commenting on their costumes and the fact that she isn't wearing tights. All the major choreographers and dancers from sytycd don't wear tights...so whatever. And besides it a dance competition not a fashion show! Secondly if she's smiling, it's because that how she feels in this dance and that's how she's portraying it. Not every lyrical dance needs a face like they're about to explode crying!
@AllAboutDance101 I agree. But I really don't think it's about the tights. I think it's the fact that she's wearing briefs instead of shorts and they were slipping up a little bit, which some people view as inappropriate for her age. She was also doing many straddle positions facing the audience. If she had worn tights, it would have been less noticeable.

I agree that black bottoms may have been more appropriate, but I don't think that they take anything away from the dance.

I thought this was gorgeous! No one should be commenting on their costumes and the fact that she isn't wearing tights. All the major choreographers and dancers from sytycd don't wear tights...so whatever. And besides it a dance competition not a fashion show! Secondly if she's smiling, it's because that how she feels in this dance and that's how she's portraying it. Not every lyrical dance needs a face like they're about to explode crying!

@AllAboutDance101 I agree. But I really don't think it's about the tights. I think it's the fact that she's wearing briefs instead of shorts and they were slipping up a little bit, which some people view as inappropriate for her age. She was also doing many straddle positions facing the audience. If she had worn tights, it would have been less noticeable.

@charmedchick07 I totally agree! the first few seconds I watched this, I thought she wasn't wearing any bottoms-wierd as that might sound...they were her exact same skin color and it was really distracting!

why are people complaining about not wearing tights? most of the dancers on here dont wear tights w/ lyrical costumes. Its not like tan tights change anything. I guess if people are looking to critique that cant conplain about their dancing so they'll pick on the costumes??

what a sweet duet! i love this song. awesome dance. they both have on tan bottoms so it makes sense & i like the costumes. hayden is amazing!

I totally agree. I think she's beautiful, but the whole dances seemed a little crotchy. I think it's because of the trunks...
