It kind of does. Much of Twilight has aspects of falling in love with someone over their looks. I too have read the book. The reason why the heroine was interested in the mate at first was because of his physical appearance; lust. It MAY seem like you're also promoting these concepts. It's like saying "I hate whores" and you watch the Kim Kardashian.

Note,I do think it's commendable that you want to be in a relationship like that. It's a good thing and I mean no offense.
