  • although i am not sure about her points i agree that this was a nice ted talk emotionally charged

  • @subsoc, exactly. Whilst I agree that dignity and choice and freedom to act are true wealth markers, how do we solve widespread economic poverty through capitalism? When she said xyz company now employs 5000 people, I'm thinking that's a negligible percentage. Not to take anything away from her work, but it is. What I like though is the that she's hitting at the root. "Health" When I have no health and I'm poor and have no money, I am unable to change anything.

    well, compared to africa... probarbly yes.

    but compared to europe.... no. america is certainly not anywhere near the top when it comes to affordable healthcare & education.
