@Milenium412 Not necessarily. A lot of teams in the Rotax Max Challenge for example offer "arrive & drive" choices where you rent the kart and services of the team. You need to get things such as the racing license and race gear. A more affordable option are My-Kart events which use rental karts.
A good way to find out about racing is going to look at one. There's a Rotax race in Subang next weekend. The calendar on kartingasia is updated with events.
Hey thanks for the advise. I'm not living in Kuala Lumpur so I am missing out on these events. Maybe during school holiday, that would be nice. Where do I get my racing license and race gear? Is it as complicated as getting a driving license?
It's somewhere around RM50 for 10mins in the rental karts they have - they'll be a fair bit slower than what you see in the video. You won't be able to hop right into a kart like in the vid.
if i were to start karting and thinking of gettin a 2nd hand relatively good 125cc kart chassis and engine, which is able to race in malaysia, how much would the cost be?
Do i need to buy my own go-kart to race?
