  • tell that to a downwinder...

  • Good Hollywood stuff to a naieve public, more nuclear balony.

    Not allowed into the area,bah!

  • call in the nuke barrage!

  • That seriously sounds fucking scary...Imagine your driving through the desert and gotta take a piss...no stop in sight. Just desert...Imagine you take a piss at a spot where they used to test nuclear weapons. Wouldn't those places still be irradiated?

  • @CallwinOEF that is a scary thought. but in all reality, in most of the places where they detonated our nukes, the nearest public roads are 100+ miles away.. thank god there are no roads to just pull off on..

  • @CallwinOEF No

  • @CallwinOEF they generally gate off large areas for weapon testing, especially nuclear ones and have warning signs all around. I believe that it is illegal to step foot in the area

  • Skip to 9:00 for the interesting stuff.

  • and what if we made this into a 800mm rail gun?

  • @skordijhl

    Then hellllooooo fallout!

  • just think... the guns on the battleships where almost twice as big

  • Let's irradiate the border with Mexico using these and the M65.

...no more cartels and no more illegals coming by land, land that few people want to live on anyway.

  • @Joseph565112 Why not bomb directly the fucking country??)))

  • @Travmapunk That's probably step two, if one doesn't work

  • @Travmapunk this was WAY before stealth tech. There are situations where you would need to delvier a nuke without the otherside being able to stop it.

  • @Daytonaman675 Did you trade your sense of humor for crack?)) Happens...

  • @Travmapunk Nope just didn't read the entire thread - happens sometimes when I'm in a hurry :) As for iradiating mexico couldn't we hire tepco to build a plant on the border?

  • @Daytonaman675 gosh... :s

  • 7:45 he got to ride the bomb. most badass guy ever.

  • They boast of it's accuracy, but realistically- how acurate do you really have to be? It's not exactly a sniper rifle.

  • To bad it's range is only 13 miles. That way you can effectively cover yourself and the enemy with fall out and wind up with cancer years later at the same hospital. WIN!

  • @viper8red I believe that Pakistan possesses this same or similar artillery, they are probably not afraid to use it on India, and I would not trust them to not use them on our troops. We may have threatened to bomb them back to the stone-age, but they could quickly inflict some damage before we toasted them.

  • fallout 1

  • should fire a few of these into Mexico and study the effects.

  • This feels awfully New Vegas...

  • And then one of these cannons backfired....

  • Wow... 20 min of preperation to destroy an area for thousands of years...

  • @Damned666Legion Shenanigans. Just harnessing the power of the sun in a small warhead. Nothing that isn't going to destroy the earth in another 500 billion years.

  • @kakashijr193 I think he meant the area was destroyed due to radiation.

  • @Damned666Legion it was already a waste land

  • Nellis AFB.. The boomers made a new howitzer! O.o

  • So it's true... we are insane

  • America... if you can turn it into a nuke... you DO turn it into a nuke.

  • I prefer the zaku II 280mm bazooka

  • this looks like old german artillery, the one that was mounted on train tracks

  • @jakeisurpimp well germans invented it... working for us military...

  • Why aren't we using that in Afghanistan?! The talibanis would be like, Oh! you think were scared of your big cannon! it's not like you have nuclear shells! and then we burn em' out!

  • @schuylkillian The reason why the USA does not use nukes against the Taliban in Afghanistan is because it would cause a huge global political problem with the USA and the rest of the world. 94% of the worlds opium is from afganistan. Afghanistan with this product has made over 64 billion dollars in exports. nuking this land would destroy a 64 billion dollar corporation that the U.S could heavily invest on.

  • omg dude its like fallout's fatman launcher dude mini nukes

  • if world war II happened 10 years later it would have been loads messier.

  • @BeefUnion if world war II happend 10 years later.... it would have been the same... the war drove the science and funding to figure out how to split the atom. If it hadnt been for the war i am not sure if it would have come about at the same speed and everything

  • @BeefUnion actually No, it's because of WW 2 tht these sophisticated weapon systems technology advanced. there is no practical use for such weapons of mass destruction, they are mostly for deterance, because trust and believe no one want's or is ready for the consequences of a nuclear war

  • it sucks that nukes were invented

  • the rear pilot staring at the nuclear shell and barred aimed @ him

  • ya sit on the nuke shell.....balls are overrated anyway

  • go to 9:16 for the firing

  • This is a copy of the original German Cannon Dora !!!

  • @petaca567 you know your stuff....finally someone on youtube thats actualy clever

  • A nice Cold War-era demonstration for the Russkies!

  • Perfect home defense weapon.

  • What a way to respond to a neighbor who is a nuisance. That is what I call overwhelming firepower.

  • Dear Santa...

  • deploy that big motherfucker to the sandbox and finish the war.

  • Ironic. That was a nazi project.

  • I bet the guy who was sitting on the warhead just before loading it is regretting that decision today. Sorry you couldn't have kids, dude.

  • take a look at 02:23 look left down to the horizon, something strange is crossing the screen ;)

  • @sanatarium1111111 helicopter, or ufo

  • @sanatarium1111111 It looks sorta like a helicopter. Strange... its going right where they want to nuke isn't it?

  • that' a bullshit !

  • that i wish me to christmas

  • Now you know. Don't live in Nevada. The place glows in the dark.

  • I hope they make a nuke that could destroy a whole city and kill billions of people in a matter of seconds and I really hope that World War III starts soon... Right guys? :D

  • @joeperry666 hay why dont you go and kill your self its easyer then starting ww3 !!

  • @joeperry666 Um. They have that, but, what city has billions of people in it? And why would you want WW3?

  • I don't know if this gun has ever been used in combat, in my view the short ranged unguided rockerts such as "katiuscia" or similar could perform the some task with less weight and more manoeuvrability

  • too bad, obama is trying get rid of all nuke weapons. that assole should die a horrible death

  • it's a good CCW

  • GET OFF MY LAWN

  • The B-Movie soundtrack just gives this video a little extra something.

  • why do they use nuclear bombs not ordinary

  • @STONE3559 they didnt fully understand the effects yet like radiation sickness. In those times they were planning to use nukes like these on beachheads and such before invading.

  • lol this is impressive but the germans built a cannon with a 40 meters long barrel which was able to fire in to paris from the safety of berlin :P that was a sick one as well

  • *shakes fist*

"Take that ya stoopid desert!! that'll teach you not to think you are so hot!"

    heh heh.

  • @PsykraM thinking of a word to describe how un-funny that was.

  • Ghetto Siege Tank???

  • lol they cut the original specs at out of audio at 03:05

  • Gottta love german guns,

  • Good thing this weapon was never needed.

  • the ultimate noobtube :D

  • @uut0 epic win dude, i lol'd

  • Horific

  • i love it. if we did this then... then what are we doing today?

  • all of those soldiers probably got cancer

  • @andrewm153351

they are way too much to not get cancer, purely based on the chance of getting cancer

this has nothing to do with the nuclear device itself!

  • Atomic Annie, literally based on Anzio Annie (could in fact be the same gun)

  • lol @ 7:45

  • they forgot that it would kill their troops also :) , in time.......

  • In time in which the cancer constantly spread throughout their body and clog up every vital organism inside.

  • I gaurded 6" and 8" shells in Germany mid 80's. Were still there when I left. end of 80's

  • I wouldn't want to be 13 miles from a tactical nuke, even a small yield one like this.

  • i bet if you put pie on a catapult it would be a hell of alot more dangerous than this..

  • deffinatly. a cake would be more dangerous.

  • Esspecially an old, stale cake with nuts in it.

  • ouch, that would be hard! brutal!

  • the cake is a lie...

  • @iphownage then what's not the lie?

  • @sk8forlife90 a brownie lol

  • @iphownage mmmm, i love brownies...

  • @sk8forlife90 who doesn't love brownies!! haha

  • UFO at 2:28

  • @ST3VE1989 Its the same thing as two kids fighting over whos dad can beat up whos dad.

  • Sometimes in life you just got 2 admit you aren't perfect, or someone out there is better than you or whoever. And all ways the better man will admit this?

  • @ST3VE1989 Well said.

  • Thanks man?

  • @ST3VE1989 what country do you come from

  • @STONE3559 England why you ask.

  • @ST3VE1989

stfu and gtfo, your country's weapons were, are and always will be inferior to my country's!!!

  • @twominutesremaining What's your problem punk!

  • We really are the stupidest brilliant animals around.

  • HEY! THER IS A UFO IN THIS VID!see if you can spot it left to right 2:25

  • That is insane!

  • The narrator sounds like Reverend Lovejoy!

  • At one point he hits it with a spanner.....!

  • freaks ......

  • "They are big, but flexible..." THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!!! hheeh i had to do it

  • don't drop that shell now, you'll have more than a broken toe.

  • what was the thing in the air in the background at 2:25?

  • Helicopter.

  • helies dont move like that..

  • Okay, it was an alien ship from Uranus. Happy now?

  • @UnseenCaller dude! it could have ben a p38 mustang chill out!

  • there is one hidden in Sarah Palin's back yard.... She can see Russia from there don'tcha know....

  • Imagine a backfire... ouch....

  • @Kittani1977

A backfire from this baby would definitely ruin your day...

  • That's fking insane.

  • in 20min the nuclear war is over!!!!

  • @Za7a7aZ :

the main installations they had them at was Korea, and I think germany.

They were meant for use as area denial weapons. In the case of Korea, if the north Koreans came over the DMZ, the ' Zero percent' bases, near the DMZ would be Camps Red Cloud, Stanley, and Casey would hold as best it can, and when they were being overrun, the atomic Annies would open up on each of the bases, effectively making a firebreak

  • House invader? No problem! Let me just grab my 280mm nuclear revolver!

  • @TwiceVicodin eh eh yeah agreed :)

  • i want one for newyars eewe

  • it is the individual, who is empowered by number to control the future of humankind. many individuals have become disconnected. many do not understand the basic fundamentals of which make humanity a unique species. We will all soon face, the unavoidable questions . questions that will altamitly determine our fate.

power by number Or death by a million cuts. If you want to see the Matrix Grow a tomato plant & taste what is truly free.

Unless you think the government will warn the people.

  • All we need is a sociopath or a team of sociopaths high in government positions. Just like sometimes two psychopaths team up to start a killing spree, it also can happen in government or militairy.

  • Nuclear machine gun rounds.

  • Woah woah woah! Are you Amindinijad? If yes, no. If no, no.

  • What even more ridiculous thin this is the Dave Crochet, a shoulder fired nuclear weapon put out of service in the 60's when it's use was deemed to be fatal to the operator. Its funny how naive were were back thin.

  • In the 1960s, seat belts were not yet reached commerical stage; people were expected to die within 4 years after retirement age; and most importantly, world war 3 was always(at that time) seem inevitable.

  • That is the "Atomic Annie".They were thought to use in West Germany in Cold War

  • operation whodawhat?

  • anyone else see somthing fly in the background at 2:23 ?

  • that's helicopter...

  • i think its a helicopter :)

  • was sind das für streifen die seitlich aufsteigen ?

what are that for stripes beside the explosion?

Какве линие цу то поред еџплозије?

  • They are kind of like 'smoke' flares that are sent up into the sky near a nuclear detonation, they are used to observe how the explosoins shookwave travels through the air.

  • hi there, just to notice these guns were suppose to use one the "Landkreuzer", for those of u who are interessed in other Doomsday technoligy, google "Project Pluto" and start thinking. ;-)

  • Heh, they should have used this in Nam or durring the korean war, it would have fixed alot of there problems

  • "Colonel, the men are reporting that their hair and teeth are starting to fall out."

"Sounds like a personal hygiene issue to me, Sergeant Major."

  • many of those soldiers they put next to Nevada and South Pacific nuclear tests died from a variety of cancers and leukemias. 100 above ground tests in Nevada covered the US and Canada with lots of fallout. But of course, it was safe, no one was hurt by it.

  • Who'd want an A-explosion 13 miles away from the firing spot.

  • nutters thinking in doomsday scenarios, is who.

  • ill take 2 please

  • russians americans nazis they're all the same.

  • they are not all the same because the nazis are not proud of there war crimes

  • yes u right they call auschwitz "the polish death camp", they tried ones mass killings and they don't realy like it. americans always tryin to cover all mass murders as fighting with terrorists. and russians just are the russians its their nature. its abeutyfull world na na na ;-0

  • I'm glad the USA protected us from communism or even total destruction using such weapons.

No wonder the leftist idiots always protested against stockpiling - they simply wanted the soviets to seize the whole world.

  • you are such a blind and naive

  • not the smartest thing i've ever read

  • No, we don't want Nuclear Apocalypse you fool.

  • Tatical suicide as well, everyone knew that this gun was exactly like the Tsar Bomb, a warfare that is made to show off, no pratical use for both of them.

  • yeah if we lost part of the moon that would fuck us up

  • Don't blow it off...just give it a ring like saturn has that'd be awesome! lol (until 10 years later that'll be quite a boring view).

  • They should lauch a Tsar bomb in outer space that would be awesome or maybe they should blow one up on the moon.

  • It wouldn't be awesome if the explosion on the moon caused it to:

    A. Go off course; hitting earth

    B. Launch away from Earth; Never seeing it again

    C.????

    D.PROFIT!

  • 1. one bomb wont make moon go off course

    2. if the moon is away we have a problem

  • the EMP (electromagnetic pulse) the blast would give off in high orbit can actually fry the delicate electronics that you use everyday. we'd be back in the stone age. high altitude nuke tests over guam knocked out power in samoa, guam, okinawa, and hawaii for a few months. and that was over guam in the late 50's. imagine one over the US in these days....

  • those dam azz nuvlear weapons should have NOT

  • Not what? did one go off near you? :D

  • How happy you will all be when you realize New Clear weapons don't really exist, but the way the government spends your money is real.

    Terrorists spend it...

  • redneck.

  • i actually read about this, its hard to find information on, but it was only ever fired once, was designed for european battlefields, they found that in order for this to be fired had to go through chain of command that took nearly 2.5hrs for approval for use of the weapon, it was rendered obsolete before its 1st ever firing, but sometimes u have to backwards before u can go forwards............

  • I guess ICBMs hadn't become the rage when this gun was released. It seems pretty laughable today, but for it's time it was pretty dang innovative.

  • Hey christlubas, if we didn't discover them first, Russia would have! and we all know what would hapen if they had a nuke during a war!

  • we weren't fighting russia during ww2, we where there allies in fighting the nazies, ;)
