  • is that on 2235 kHz? thats right under the 120m tropical band (2300-2495kHz)

  • I heard Radio PMR once before when I was messing about with my radio, it's a cheap little thing but...I haven't been able to get Radio PMR again. I'll keep trying. Although I wonder if a more powerful radio would help...

  • Wait...I can listen to PMR with a SW radio? I live in SC USA

  • You know, I REALLY miss the 'good ol' days' of the Cold War; a battle of ideas and philosophies from all over the world in many different languages. Now it seems it's all religious broadcasting. Don't get me wrong, I am a Christian, but there really was something about dx in those days!!!

  • Great! I love shortwave DXing!

  • I have a dx 160 my grandpa gave to me i heard russia talkin about georgia conflict the other day

  • Heard this station hear on USA east coast 6-25-2008 very nicely. Propogation was a bit off, but signal was loud and clear. Nice signal from a small republic of about 4,300,000 people and one of the poorer countries in Eastern Europe. Thanks for sharing this youtube with us!

  • Thanks for your comment and interest. Yes, Pridnestrovye still runs amok on the SW bands, it's difficult to track them anymore. The summer propagation in Spain is dreadful. Hopefully we will have improvement within two months. All the best.

  • man ! PMR has not 4,300,00 people it has only 500,000 people, the Republic of Moldova has 4,300,000 people, but PMR is a unrecognized teritorry , oficially a part of Moldova !

  • @radu8989 555,000 approximately, and officially it's status is "breakaway".

  • do they broadcast in chinesse too?

  • It is really fascinating. I got it loud and clear in the UK a couple of times. I love how wearily the guy counts the editions.

  • It had a nice signal at 0000 on 6240 tonight in the middle of the US - using only a few feet of wire.

  • Wait...I can listen to PMR with a SW radio? I live in SC USA

  • @vladimir88x7

If PMR means Personal Mobile Radio... I think you cant hear PMR on the SW bands, because the PMR radio broadcasting on 446Mhz...

  • Slava Moldova,Slava Pridniestrovia. fascisti rumini idite naxui. Vi ubili 500.000 moldavani,rossiani i ukrainiani v 2°mondial war.

  • that is romanian land!!!

  • Fascinating. Thank's for posting it,really.

  • nice radio and very good recording

  • Thanks... It is a Sony ICF-77

  • I have never received PMR in my part of the world. I am surprised I have not at least heard references to Pridnestrovie from the American media, since Soviet legality reigned at the time of its independence. Perhaps now that Russian/American relations have somewhat soured, I will hear more information on Pridnestrovie, since it would make good propaganda. I believe we are seeing the making of a new cold war. Keep up the good job.

  • Very interesting recording!

  • Thanks... I recorded and posted it because I know that Radio PMR is a difficult catch in the USA. It comes in clear here at my QTH in Spain...
