Your playing 'E Eb Db A' when its actually 'E E/eb Db A' once you played the E power chord, just stretch your first finger to play the Eb note...i done the same thing as you at first, you gotta listen really carefully to the song to spot it.

Hi thanks for the comments i take all constructive critisism on board , and it is right that the palm muting in the verses is not on the record i think i thought it was cos thats the way i always played along to it on the record, but idiots who just say "its crap" blatently dont know anything about guitar anyway, so thanks for the comments

You need to work on your timing, and the the first set of bends should be a tone, not a semi-tone. Also, don't play in a metal style, I don't know where you're getting that palm mute thing in the verse from, it's quite clearly not in the song. Your bending in the bit before the chorus is a third too low as well, you're following the vocal line instead of the guitar.
