Why do they give the dates of the disasters to the little girl knowing that it's going in a time capsule? Whats the point? Why not just pluck some healthy people and drop them off at the new earth? Yeah right!!!! Aliens are the most realistic. The plane crash lacked realism in certain ways. The way in which the solar flare destroyed the earth was unrealistic in terms of time and magnitude. It was so cute when Nicolas Cage cuddled up with his family and got blown to shit, though.

I just saw this movie today. It was very, very riveting and quite unlike what a lot of people assume. No, they're not 'angels', they're extraterrestrials. It's a very cool spin on it. The plane crash sequence was really something else. Freaky.

Pum, there WERE more people on that planet..... Thats why tey showed those other spaceships departing because in them were more children/chosen ones/etc. Abby and Kaleb werent the only ones dropped off on that planet... hundreds of others were dropped off all over that world.

probably because it is made from sumitt production company which does smaller films just look at twilight, and how poor some of the effects were since its a low budget company but look how much twilight made so they should be making the second better, i predict when that movie comes out it will fly off the shelves with my included in buying it!
