  • There Are BROWN RECLUSES Where I LIVE !!.....So THESE THINGS Are AROUND My HOUSE TOO ?!?!?!?!?!.......Shit! I Gotta Move !!

  • I think its cute, but I also dont want it to touch me lol

  • These are freaky!

  • Cool looking Centipede:)

  • It must suck to clean their legs haha XD

  • It's a type of poisonous centipede. How do I know? I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night. But, really, it's a poisonous centipede.

  • I always check my toilet before I set on it to make sure teres no centipede inside.

  • I understand this conversation, it's in portuguese ;)

  • @Soulreaper066 - Sim, é em português. I'm from Lisbon. My mother was saying that this "bug" was ugly and dirty and I answer that from its point of view, probably we humans, might be as ugly too. At the same time I was telling her that it was having a bath while inside the glass.

  • @Priciaf My family is from St. Miguel, Azores. Nice to hear some Portuguese in a video, especially in a random bug video, reminds me of my family all over again :)

  • It looks like a skinny version of a centipede.

  • By the way, I got a phobia of these cursed bugs. It's called "Chilopoda phobia"- fear of centipedes.

  • Let's explore the facts about centipedes, shall we;

1). They can have up to 1000 legs.

2). They can move as fast as a car(45 mph).

3). They got pincers and claws and they bite(which hurt like hell!)

4). They love places that's dark and moist.

There is nothing cute about these unordinary bugs. Kill them!!! Be it a shoe, fly swatter, rolled up news paper, or what ever. Smash that fucker like nobodies business.

  • @dcoble1 Let's explore the facts about humans, shall we;

    1). They are violent barbarians

    2). They are greedy

    3). They are mostly stupid

4). They have guns and knives

There is nothing cute about these beasts. DESTROY THEM!! be a it a bomb, a gun, a knife, a rock...errr wait nevermind humans already do this...ill take my chances with the bug i much rather keep an eye on my neighbors

  • @Cherubim666999 yeah your right, but i have a strong phobia of those blasted things. im trying to get over it though. im sticking to the facts about them none the less.

  • @dcoble1 lol yeah they are kinda creepy ..the worst is when ur just sittin there..drinkin a beer..look over and theres one on ur shoulder lol

  • Scutigera coleoptrata i choose you!!!!!!!11

  • HOLY SHIT!!! did you know you could play Snkae with the spinny circle thing while the video buffers:O

  • awww its actually kinda cute :)

  • @kelsey905 Thank you. I think so too. I never thought that a bug like this, while in this glass "prision" would take time to relax and clean itself.

  • Thumbs up if you scratch looking at this video..:/

  • so cute!!!

  • Well, it's house centipede and it looks kinda scary, but it's not pest but it eats pests, and the venom is weak against human.

  • lol itian

  • Sorry, but if I ever see a house centipede, my life will not continue until their life is over! I wonder how many of you all would really be okay with these hideous creatures if you were abruptly awoken out of your sleep because one of these things were crawling across your face?! It happened to me, so I'm not just throwing out a hypothetical. If I want natural pest control, give me a Praying Mantis.

  • They are kinda cute! The legs, though........

  • omg i want your camera

  • @darkdragon1194 - This was filmed with my photo camera, a Canon Powershot, with 7 MP. It's really not that special but thx.

  • As CBPCorps mentioned: It does indeed look a lot like a cricket up close! Pretty amazing how something so horrifying becomes adorable when magnified.

  • It looks like a cricket up close.

  • Si chiama Scutigera coleoptrata...

  • @pornomoralizzatore - Grazie.

  • @Priciaf De nada! ;D

  • the face is not as horrid looking as a regular centipede.. go get a close up shot of that

  • See, people tend to be spooked by these things, but up close you can see how beautiful they really are.

  • @ScutigeraColeoptrata People fear what they do not understand :/

  • Kawaii ^^

  • I feel bad for killing it now that im more informed and aware about this insect...i even posted it on my account...im a murderer :(

  • one night i woke up with one of those on my shoulder

  • @ismokemid

Not possible. They are shy and run away like grease lighting. The only way it was on your shoulder if you were asleep and motionless. Stop trying to scare people.

  • @ThePatriotMuckraker people say that about grizzly bears two

  • My son calls them Fuzzy Bugs. I use to kill them with a passion, until my wife saw a brown recluse. The scutigera eat brown recluses and any other pests. When I see them know I leave them alone, sometimes you have to set a monster to catch a monster, call it an uneasy alliance. Their bite is much preferable to the bite of a brown recluse. When all your pests are gone, they disappear to.

  • @MerkinMuffly thanks man for now on when i see one i will let it go

  • @MerkinMuffly No doubt! A Centipede bite is a little less than a Bee sting, but a Recluse bite, can REALLY fuck up your day:(

  • @loveunderlaw Recluse bites aren't as dangerous as everyone thinks. Most of them heal normally without issue. However, seeking medical attention is not a bad idea regardless.

@Priciaf I'm glad there are others who appreciate the beauty of these animals!

  • @trickynick1001 Recluses server their purpose out in the forests LOL It's not even their bite so much that's deadly, it's the bacteria that lives on their fangs that will really mess up your day! Yes centipedes are cool, I have a couple living under my bathroom, & kitchen sinks:)

  • Comment removed

  • @fgtib Thanks for the comment. Nice point of view. Unlike humans, many animals only attack when they feel threatened. It's funny how clean this bug is; even in this "jail" he took some time to have a relaxing bath.

  • How big was it? I've one as a pet that's just over one inch body length (without the legs that is), but it doesn't seem to grow any bigger after one year now. Your scutigera looks bigger then that. Liked the video btw.

  • @ericipericie - Thx for the comment. I don't know how big this one was. I traped it in a Ikea glass, which are sold by the dozen. It is at the bottom so I can film it. The Scutigera was a bit tight in there so I didn't kept it there too long. I think she could have +/- 2,5 cm (1 inch).
