If she thinks caring for her loved ones is a huge task, take her to the orphanages, animal and homeless shelters, homes for the disabled, mental hospitals, and the like. I saw Salt last weekend, and I'm a bit conflicted. It was an entertaining movie (and perhaps that's all it was hoping to be), but I couldn't help asking questions about things that just didn't make sense.

Sorry, i do have something to say. if you love your wife or still want to be with her for whatever reasons, consider a change of scenery for both of you. Move to another part of the country. Since you get your income from youtube and from teaching so relocating shouldnt be much of a problem. Your wife seems unmotivated or she's just a bitch, i dunno. But moving might re-vitalize her. Mordeth, if you are really concerned about your health, perhaps you should take a trip to Canada/or another country with better doctors since the doctors in Taiwan aren't doing it. It is your health afterall. If the Dr. is not checking what you think should be checked, then you're supposed to speak up and tell him. I'm not saying you don't but alot of people go to the doctor and don't say anything.

@13mordeth Sounds like you're physically still there but mentally edging away from her. I think you need to do some really honest assessing and ask yourself what you want your future to be like. Being divorced with a kid in the mix is hard, (just the divorce itself will take 5 years off your life,) but then again, so is living with someone you hate.
Having been through it I would advise to try working it out if at all possible. If not, be ready for years of warfare, followed eventually by peace
