i met nye @ crystal mountain about '96. ended up riding on the chairlift with him. i didn't get all crazy "oh my god! it's bill nye"!!!!" i asked him nicely how his day was going, how the skiing was, it was just "fine/good/ok/yeah" responses. my friends and i tried to get more of a skiing conversation out of him about his gear, ect. he wanted nothing of it. we didn't bring up almost live or his disney show, just wanted to talk skiing.

dude you had to have been there. if you don't ski, it's not unusual to strike up a friendly conversation with those on the chairlift you don't know. his answers were short and a lil snappy. not a good way to get people to like you WHOEVER you are, famous or not.
