She is a good teacher. She is engaging the students and motivating them to participate. The methods of teaching ESL are totally different than teaching normal academic subjects. A good ESL teacher makes it look easy: they get the students to do most of the talking.
Conversational skills have historically been neglected in traditional foreign language classes in favor of grammar and translation. This has changed a lot in the last 20 years, and this teacher reflects that.
She's not that bad of a teacher. She makes good conversation with the students, and while she does have a slight accent, it makes virtually no difference. And while she does make an occasional grammar mistake, her ability to interact with the class and make the students laugh is great
she is not a teacher!!! feia, sem carisma, seca e nao sabe persuadir de maneira que o aluno sinta em um ambiente confortavel. ela parece policia fazendo pergunta! e ela precisa melhorar essa cara feia
this is useless. she is a boring slow waste of time. teaching and learning takes effort. she is taking the student almost no where. I see little teaching, no whiteboard use repetition or practice.
Her English sucks for an English teacher! I don't think she could ever work at a reputable school in an English speaking countries. Is this supposed to be a bad example of an ESL class?
Being an English teacher has nothing to do with appearance. She could successfully teach English in country, but foreigners in English speaking counties want people with no accent and who speak using proper sentences...this girl doesn't. Also alexanderssson, your spelling is incorrect. It's "jealous" and "shiny". I advise you to take English classes from a real teacher. P.S. I'm hotter than her!
Gkaio: I live in Canada. If you have any questions regarding the English language, feel free to send me a private message and I'll answer you if I can.
I misspelled those words, but its ok, i dont see what;s the problem with her accent, its understadable, nobody cares about the accent as long as its properly spoken, its my opinion in my short experience in the united states. also, thanks for advising me !
Her spoken English is outstanding, but better than that are her people skills, which can't be learned in a classroom. Hats off to her with this position. She's making a difference in the world.
Wow. A lot of "English native speakers" I know don't understand grammar. Some of them even don't realize that "I seen you" and "he don't" is incorrect.
Her accent is slight enough to be irrelevant to 99.9% of learners. Very rarely do adult learners achieve perfect pronounciation. She seems like a great teacher, btw.
She definitely sounds... funny. (no offence) I am kind of surprised that somebody whose second language is English is working as an ESL teacher. I wonder where that school is.
sorry , do you really think your first language needs to be english to teach esl ......thats the poorest coment i`ve seen here....now tell me how come donald trump own restaurants without being a chef......if you really think like that you have to review your concepts about life .....and by the way , the girl in hte video is teaching and the people are leaning weather you want it or not .
Wow, you must be really offended, Paulo. I am not sure why you are so offended about my comment though. I live in Vancouver, and there are tons of ESL kids here. In fact, I do have a few Asian friends who are here to learn English. Their grammar is almost perfect. In fact, many of them come to Canada to improve their listening and speaking skills.
I also want to point out that a lot of Asian students choose to come to North America to learn English because North American accent is considered to be "standard". What you should realize is there are excellent English teachers in the countries where ESL students are from. Although they can learn English at home, they choose to come to North America and spend tons of money as they want to learn English from "English native speakers".
To be honest with you, I am quite offended to hear you saying I should review my "concepts of life". You cannot judge somebody's life principle or world view by reading one's short comment on something so minor. That's just bluntly rude.
Just because you were born in an English speaking country doesn't make u a teacher. Second language teachers have different experience with language because they look at it from both teacher/learner's perspective. They have already been in the students' shoes.
A Very good teaching. All the students are practicing talking. Maybe she talks a little too much at times. She is entertaining and it gives the students practice in listening. She is talking slow and clear; perfect for that level of students. I also agree with Rambominger's comment.

In America we are considerd an adult at 18, but we dont really get treated like an adult untill 21. "Sweet 16" is really for girls.

Yeah, why do they come to North America? They should just watch CNN if they want to learn the standard accent.
