I think you should inform the viewers that with Defense Wall pre-installed, whatever any on demand scanner finds, after you've visited your malicious links, is in the sandbox and can't do any damage.
There may be some malicous files on the system, but they are useless, they can't do a thing to infect your machine.

There is a whitelist, it's working for signed installation software, produced by "known as good" vendors. I just forgot to add SurfRight into it, and there is something wrong with running Malwarebytes as trusted- I can see it into the app virtualization folder, but need to find out why it's still running untrusted.
Thank you for your testing! Showing how an average user will respond to alerts is very valuable to us in helping to improve our product.
Just 2 things: 1. DefenseWall does not protect against file drops (the files that were detected). If you double clicked on those dropped files, you would find that they would be Untrusted.
2. We recommend users to use an antivirus along-side DefenseWall, so they are able to get rid of those junk files.
Hey, LANguy, you really should read the manual before you start testing! I have to say that this review was very bad! You obviously dont know how to use defensewall properly! Read the manual and do a retest!
@MultiHinken Sure I could do that but I like to approach testing from the average persons usage. If a person has to go into great depth to be able to use a program and understand it, the program will not have success. A program has to be intuitive and it has to come out of the box with proper settings.
defensewall isolates all that comes from untrusted sources, right? so it isolated mbam and hitman. it`s very good that it did so. you probably wanted that it had a whitelist and let those apps install, but what happens when an average (or even an expert) user encounters stuxnet rootkit (digitally signed)? i say it`s a great app, not only great but a must have!
You have the best reviews on YouTube and this is your worst!
You must at least admit that!
And DefenseWall is NOT for average persons because they won't be using it's advantages over KIS, NOD32, NIS etc. and for them DW3 would be one of the least effective anti-malware piece of software.
if you like on demand scanners, norton power eraser seems to be a cloud scanner like prevx or hitman pro. will you please do a vid on it. peace and pot bro
@hurizam you are quite wrong, defense wall told him to stop it, so stopping it is showing how strong the software as that is what the software is made to do. The software being tested was made to stop bad processes not let them through
Thank you languy99 for another great review! DefenseWall was nice but i really like GesWall's interface and easy termination. What about combination of DefenseWall + some Antivirus ? :)
If an icon on your desktop has a shield, it means that it will run inside the sandbox. To run it outside the sandbox, right-click on the program you wish to run and select "run outside sandbox" or "mark as safe".
@manganificent No, if an icon has a shield it means that the program needs your permission to run under the UAC settings you have set in windows 7 control pannel
Sandboxing is a very efficient way to protect your PC. However, the only problem I have with sandboxing is that Roboform does not work properly in a sandboxed browser :(
@Grodusk: There are websites that provide zero-day malware for testing purposes which should not be mishandled by anyone unless they know what they are doing. If you want to take the risk seeing as you're very confident, it would be either safe to back-up/virtualize(shadow defender)/sandbox/or use a system virtualization like VMware workstation like languy99 and preferrably a junk PC. My longest comment ever. :P
also, i always get asked if i want to allow an internet connection to a process with comodo so those things that it ''detected'', might not have been for a proper reason.. ( it being detected as a virus/anything else bad )
Another great review! Thanks a lot! I've tested Defense Wall and the problem with it - as you mentioned - is the fact they don't have a whitelist. Besides that, I think it is a problem for me that malwares and rogues keep inside Defense Wall, like a prison, despite they don't represente a risk for your computer. So everytime you check system with Malwarebytes you'll be notified having bad traces.
nice video.I already have security suite installed. Can you run defense wall along side it.Or do you have to disable the other firewall?

Good video, thanks for share it.
This kind of security tools generally works very well. They must be installed in every PC with internet.
One question languy99: among DefenseWall, GesWall and Sandboxie, which do you like more?.
Thanks.

stopping process is wrong because that would anybody do, so continuing will show you how strong the software is

This has been flagged as spam show
also any thing that malwarebytes has found is completely harmless and has no rights to do any thing to the system because they are all untrusted

to install a program as trusted , right click on the programs icon then , run it as trusted
