  • True it's not perfect. I do not mind that because you are giving us an example of how the CSI:NY intor might have been like with this song. There is seemingly no known version from "hollywood" of how the open would have been with this song. I respect you for making this as an example of what might have been. I think I would still prefer the open to be done with "Baba O'Riley". I am speaking only about what version I prefer. Keep working on the timing you might get it to work correctly.

  • it sux so bad

  • @elcuate36 Thank you for your kind words!

  • @elcuate36 kidding but i would like this in another one but i still put liked

  • HOLY SHIZ THIS IS OLD. BEHING BLUE EYES WAZ DA BOMB

  • The first thing that popped into my head was CSI:Miami when I heard this.

  • y the negative comments?

  • que paso y donde esta BABA O RILEY uhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm no va esa musica con las imaguenes Pm

  • This would fit in perfectly if they had chosen it. Well edited.

  • I'm starting to think CSI cut a deal with The Who for their themes

  • Quite like the video and the concept behind it. I don't mind either song really.

  • this is a great vid. ya i could totally picture this as being the normal theme, although i like baba o'riley better.

  • The next CSI spin-off is "CSI Guantanamo Bay", scheduled for filming in 2010.

  • Aww man. Someone did this.

I was thinking that Behind Blue Eyes needed to be the theme song for the next CSI. I was thinking CSI: Detroit.

  • hahaha are they making csi detroit?

lol, "sir, seven people were just found shot"

"who cares, sprinkle some crack on em, lets get outa here"

  • This was really well done. It's a great song, and you edited it really well; I honestly don't see it falling behind as you say in the description.

I think Baba O'Riley fits a bit better with the intro as it is now, but I could easily see this being the normal theme of the show.

  • Thank you. I think you're the first person to watch this video, and actually get the point of it being here.

  • @DaDude261 I also appreciate it, it is to show people how it might have been and get their opinions(?) Anyway, I do like it a bit, also, The new theme is The Who AND Baba O'Riley.

  • Original, as in original concept of the producer. Read the comments. Don't make harsh accusations like that, or you make yourself look like an idiot. Like, right now. >_>

  • Behind Blue Eyes is on another Crime Drama isn't it?

  • GoooD 5/5

  • makes no sense of this mabye if there was a CSI down south like South Carolina.

  • Yeah I think that nixing this theme was the only bright thing Les Moonves ever did.

Thank you for showing what it would have looked like though!!!

  • N1CE

  • weird

  • LMAO XD

Glad they choosed Baba O'Riley :D

  • Totally Agree

  • This doesn't match the tone of NY. it would gone great another city.

  • It might work for an 4th CSI show

  • If there is another CSI show, and I think that Eminence Front by The Who would be a great fit. It's one of their lesser known songs, but it's great.

  • hi guys, i am making a CSI Machinima and i want to ask you guys something. Should i still use baba o'riley as the theme or my favourite song at the moment, Numb Encore, whwich would suit the part as well, plz pm and tell me what you think?

  • Guys "Behind Blue Eyes" is a much better song than "Baba o' Riley".

Plus, the lyrics match better! "Behind Blue eyes" is about a troubled soul that needs help and protection, and that's what the series is about...

  • That is completely false. Behind Blue Eyes is certainly not a better song than Babe O'Riley. The series is about a troubled soul that needs help and protection? Funny, because I thought the series was about a team of CSIs in New York that investigate crimes...sorry, I must've missed the other part.

  • Basically, it's about the CSIs investigating cases with troubled souls and helping to serve justice, thus protecting people... But even the CSIs themselves have troubled souls, because of everything they have suffered in their lives (if you watch the show, you'll know).

Plus, how can you connect Baba with CSI?

I cannot judge whether Behind Blue Eyes is better than Baba, because it's my personal opinion (formed by my memories) and I'd understand if other people don't share it.

  • For some strange reason, Baba O'Riley has always been sort of a theme song for New York. Watch "Summer of Sam" as Spike Lee uses it very well to describe New York, Yankee Stadium blared it for quite some time, and it just seems to go along great with anything related to New York. Probably because New York is somewhat of a "teenage wasteland". Besides, Behind Blue Eyes is too, I don't know, slow I guess to fit with the tempo that is living in New York. I personally think the theme for NY is best.

  • BAba O'Riley is a much better fit for the team

  • Kinda funny. All this talk about the WHO. Yet nobody has even inquired into why they replaced the original CSI:New York theme (Dr. Dre "Dre Day") for Baba O' Reilly. That is just weird!

  • Baba O'Riley fits much better this song is terribly no ofence if you like it but seriously it doesn't fit at all!

  • FLACK <3

  • I'm kind of surprised the amount of negative feedback Behind Blue Eyes is getting. It's one of my favourite songs by them (don't get me wrong, Baba O'Riley is also one of my favourite songs). As for how I cut it, I just used a program called Audacity. I've had a bit of experience with it before.

My theory for the disliking of Behind Blue Eyes, is that you need to hear the entire song to appreciate it. Please do, I promise you won't be disappointed.

  • how do you know this is the original, show me proof

  • This ain't no CSI lol... But check some interviews, you'll be able to find it there somewhere!

  • howd you edit the song so clean?

  • holy crap, that sounds awful! Absolutely dreadful! Thank goodness they used Baba O'Riley instead!

  • thank god they chose baba oreilly

  • it sounds like an opening to sitcom like cheers

  • wow this sounds awful compared to baba o'riley

  • Yeah I heard that they were going to use Behind Blue Eyes first. They're both good songs, but for CSI I like Baba O'Riley.

  • baba o" reily much better

  • As great as Baba O Riley is I have to say I think Behind Blue Eyes fits better.

  • who made this, you should go and get some drugs or something.

  • thank god they change it i love teenage wastland this song its craped

  • I like Baba O'Reilly better

  • I can see why this had not made the fainal cut

  • Well, er, that sucked. It seriously sucked. Te music and the intro do in no way match together! I am soooo glad thet they changed it to Baba O Riley. I'm not sure I could handle 38 seconds of that every episode.

  • wow that was really bad

  • I like the normal credits.. well

  • Ooops I clicked enter by accident..

    Anyway,

I like the normal credits, the season 1, 2 & 3 credits anyway cos the season 4 ones annoy me a bit :P

  • The old song makes me want to say wtf. Especially the last part of the song "behind blue eyes..." it makes CSI: New York sound like a crappy soap opera.

  • I like Baba O'Reilly better

  • I love the Baba O'riley version better, personally. I think it fits so much better with the skylines and the fast-paced New York City feel. It's actually my favorite of all the CSI intros because of the song and scenery meshed together.

  • behind blue eyes is better and i should know how ny is cause i live in coney island unlike u.

  • that's not the origanal that's the season 2 intro

  • What a luck they changed that into Baba O riley.

  • lol that intro suck! GOD BLESS !!!

    damn rednecks

you see i learned American in no time hahahahahaha

  • Baba all the way! One good thing Les ever did!

  • that sux is that billy ray siris singing i like the one they got now

  • it sucks with this song

  • As awesome as Behind Blue Eyes is, I definitly think that Baba O'Reily fits better. Great clip, though.

  • i watched it a few times it's pretty cool but I have to admit I'm now very used to baba o reilly

  • I think Behind Blue Eyes is The Who's best theme. It takes a few hearings to enjoy though.
