  • One of my favorite power and explosion lifts. The push jerk. Up to 315....jump and split each leg and bring them back alternating leg each rep at height of jerk.....footwork with power. With a belt and technique. Good for your back. Funny Video!

  • The majority of Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Centers and industry professionals agree and conclusively show many adverse reactions to overhead pressing movements with non-athletes, and patients/clients over the age of 30. Impingement syndrome and L-5 SI low back injuries are the top injuries, specific to its path of motion, and opposed force loads entering the body. The research is published online and disseminated by other videos on youtube. It was a very funny video though!

  • @GigityGigity90 Im 89kg and can press 95kg x 2 strict.

    He does make it sound like everyone should easily be able to press bodyweight easily but its more a goal to work towards.

  • @keironewoodgate Im working on 5 sets of 5 reps of clean and press and currently on 60kg so it is giving me a goal to work towards and i probably could press 90kg but my balance seems to go a bit wonky when i go a little out of my comfort zone, just keep training and working on it, I think my core may be the problem as ive never really done it properly just now and again but ive started doing it seriously and should be pressing bodyweight before i know it.

  • except with the Kettlebell OH press you can press same weight with out them limp bent wrist! Barbell is a more advanced movement since your shoulders can't make adjustments during the movement.

  • Also, I find it a little funny that you rag on those who do the lift incorrectly or say it "hurts people" when in the video your using a false grip, which is preventing your from straightening your wrists and pointing your knuckles to the ceiling, which can result in wrist injuries.

    All your other cues seem pretty spot on though.

  • Kettlebells useless? The way many people use them these days maybe. Take a 36kg or heavier pro grade K.bell and do a workout consisting of swings, cleans, jerks, snatches, etc. Then say they are useless. I don't think that's what Martin was inferring.
