But if he can't see how amazing and awesome she is....if he can't see that she DOESN'T deserve to be second fiddle to Veronica...if he can't treat her right...then Betty needs to let him go and choose someone who will respect her.

Archie's been a horrible judge of character when it comes to choosing the girls, he usually only dates Betty if he CAN'T date Veronica. He rarely puts Betty first. Betty deserves better!

The Archie company used that to get Archie fans interested; but in the end they did a double series and set it in a 'What If' Universe. So they did 'Archie Marries Veronica' and 'Archie Marries Betty' alongsdie each other and both were set in an alternate reality. Officially, Archie still hasn't chosen between the two.

Its just how she is. But shes not THIS bad usually. We all have "Asshole" days. Everyone in the show acts like a jerk here and there. (More in Reggie's case)

Its to play up the dichotomy between her and Betty. Theyre like the yin and yang. Rich egotist vs humble jane average.

But at least Veronica has SOME depth to her. Enough to figure out she was wrong and to do what it takes to fix her mistake. She's not a BAD person, she's just a kid who needs to learn a few things.
