  • "Deas Gu Cath" PPCLI 4 LIFE!!! May all of our Good Men Rest In Peace!!

  • When I'm 18 I'm going to enroll in the Canadian Forces, currently I'm 16 years old. Hopefully the days go by.

  • @EmericaHQ You can join the reserves at 16 with ur parents consent

  • @EmericaHQ Dude, become an Officer if you think your up for it, why join early when you can go to RMC or a civilian college/University to get a degree, then go into officer training. When you retire from the military, you will have education alllowing you to do something else if you so choose. Thats what i plan on doing anyway, in a civilian college. in my second year, get r done...

  • @TheCDNkindaguy Well once I become a infantry soldier I actually was thinking about becoming an Infantry officer... With the college thing I was just thinking of going to college during my time or something.

  • America, Canada, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand will always be allies that other countries will get jealous off. We are all blood related and have a very special bond between each other. No one can separate that.

  • At the time of the invasion, the Canadian government defined Canada's reasons for participating in the mission Afghanistan as follows1.Defend Canada's national interests.

2.Ensure Canadian leadership in world affairs; and

3.Help Afghanistan rebuild and you are doing that thank you for being an ally in this world

  • canadian and proud ! by the way nice video

  • We love you Boys, come on home!

  • najo mia is langweilig

  • make me prode to fight beside my Canadian comrades

  • Anyone familiar with Ron Paul? He`s probably the only honest politician in existance. Canada is being played like a piano by their American puppet master politicians They in turn are being lobbied by the military industrialists. The reason the "terrorists" attacked the U.S. is because the west mainly the U.S. and British have got their noses stuck where they don`t belong. Ask yourself what would the result be if an Iranian Drone surveilence aircraft were shot down over sovreign U.S airspace?

  • Thank you for this.

    Remembering Sergeant George Miok.

    (41 combat engineers)

  • thank u

    from USA

  • Getting recruited soon!!!!!!

  • fuck anyone who dislikes this video, every canadian knows why we fight. EVERY canadian is proud of our armed forces! you never kill a canadian soldier ... everytime you try you are taking on an entire country that will never fall! LONG LIVE CANADA....LONG LIVE FREEDOM....and my heart goes out to everyone who has been affected by this "war on terror"

  • My cousin would have loved this video matt, God bless you

  • im am probably the proudest canadian you will ever find

    god bless us all

  • @MaxWaveGun360 Theirs no such thing as the proudest canadian...all canadians are proud

  • @canadianrandomness yea i guess your right :)

  • Read the book, Lions Of Kandahar, it concentrates on Operation Meddusa but from the angle of a US Army Green Beret Captain and 30 other Green Berets and their ANA counterparts in the panjwayi valley. He tells a gut wrenching story of how the battle unfolded and eventually how NATO and ISAF gained control of the valley. If anyone has any interest in what our countries/soldiers are doing over there I highly recommend the book.

  • I plan on serving in the forces. This video makes me proud to say that. Well done.

  • All you can eat taliban

  • what great ppl ;) make me happy 2 dislikes makes me want to kill them come home safe plz come home bro

  • Afghan War Combat Footage HD 1080p

    /watch?v=H2cQ9uQqT6c

thumbs up for others to see

  • I can't even begin to express how proud I am to be Canadian, and to be a ally of the USA. But what I don't understand is why Americans and Canadians always argue over who has the better soldiers, the point is our soldiers fight together, and die together. American, Canadian. Does not matter. We are all brothers. We should support the troops of our allies just as much as we do our own. R.I.P any American our Canadian soldier that has given the ultimate price for our freedom!!!!!

  • @IBCanadianEh It's just that my fellow Americans are too proud and think that no one deserves credit but the US. Now I am a completely objective person and I salute you guys. :)

  • @IBCanadianEh I don't understand the aruguing ether were on the same side canadians are of the same stock as americans we both have citizens who decend from all over the world. I heard an antiwar in afganistian person say the reason canida was in afganistian was that they didnt go to iraq thats a lie the canadian forces were in afganistian before march 03 a year before many of these people refuse to study the history and speak the truth and assume were all as dumb as them

  • @IBCanadianEh Being canadian is an accident of birth. You can't be "proud" to be canadian it is not a skill. Be happy to be canadian but not proud.

  • God bless Canadian troop heros angels in uniforms so proud so thankful your services dedication sacrifice needs to be recondnized ,,

  • Welcome back to the official names of the the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN), Canadian Army and Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). These titles have not been used since 1968 when the then Liberal government merged the Canadian Army, RCAF and RCN into one unified organization called the Canadian Forces striping the branches of their pre-1968 traditions and identities. The Cdn Army was called "Land Force Command", RCN called "Maritime Command" and the RCAF called "Air Command" from 1968 to Aug 16th 2011

  • can somebody tell the song name, By the way amazing video!!!

  • God bless our troop

they fought for the freedom and rights for the afghan ppl (greater good)

so that they can live peacefully its a great shame that most ppl dont appreciate their service

    Job well done troops

  • "War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."- John Stuart Mill.

  • Fight hard my Canadian brothers, love you guys. Lets win this war!

    Respect from an Aussie soldier.

  • you really dont understand how much i love this and you never will

R.I.P man and woman long live the canadian forces

  • this one goes to favorites love it

  • Well Done Matt ! Its too bad people spend their time using channel comments here for their personal wars when they should be giving support for the many soldiers who uphold the very freedom that we have each and everyday. Sadly, being on YouTube, I have met too many people who simply forget about the cost of freedom and who fights for that freedom. With that said, there are alot of us who respect, don't forget, and appreciate the service of past and present soldiers....."LEST WE FORGET"

  • @MrDubDisciple personally if The country was in chaos and the goverments failed well I'm taking my family down to the armory grabing all the weapons I can and trust me the AR15 very good for jaming but you wouldn't have a chance going up against guys like me because well us real men went off to war guys like you were at home sucking on there daddy's dick smoking weed and eellreading all them crazy theories on the Internet

  • @TheCFarmy Actually I'm 18 and currently in University of Waterloo studying Peace and Conflict Studies as a Major and International Law as a Minor. Also it has got me a job working at a local non-profit dispensary giving people the medicine they need in a secure and discreet environment. But privacy is something neo cons really hate huh? $20 dollars an hour at 18 is prettty good by most standards. But then again I'm just a lazy ass who cares nothing about the direction his country is taking.

  • @MrDubDisciple University? thats soft! Go out drinking and driving, have unprotected sex, underage sex, do drugs, share needles, have a child and leave em dry.

  • When the loonie devalues and there's inflation it won't matter what kind of schooling you got. BACK IN LINE SHEEP!

  • @1988scottcarey Oh I have my silver and gold stock ready for when the US Reserve crumbles, the Canadian export economy tanks and we have governments repatriating everything they can get their hands on. You might also want to invest in a Restricted Firearms License, the AR-15 in my closet will come in handy then also.

A monetary system based on promises is a house of cards as the Americans are quickly figuring out.

  • @TheCFarmy No response yet? No quick come back? Aww I was enjoying them.

  • @MrDubDisciple lol no there not because I live on base the guy next me his part of the 2nd battalion of the RCR the other guy next me his a weapons tech even the mail mans part of the army now see they don't let losers in to the army are on are bases but sersouly where's that shit got you in life shit got you in life

  • @MrDubDisciple are you high again you shouldn't be smoking that weed you know that shits bad for you it makes losers

  • @TheCFarmy You really want to take up the anti-marijuana flag? Even the Americans know that one is a dead horse. Also you may want to look at the national averages of pot smokers in Canada. Highest per captia in the world.

We are your neighbours, your co-workers, the ones who deliver your mail, the ones who keep you safe at night. We are many. We are Legion.

That one always works with the religious-right.

  • @MegaWolfgang holy crap your old school for sure that's when y'all were still using the FN FAL what was that rifle like and did the gowrvement ever do Amy little preparations for the vietnam war

  • @TheCFarmy It was a good weapon. 7.62. I was a c2 gunner for my section as well for awhile. The equipment today though is much better than it was in my time. We all hated that stupid M1 helmet. And we really hated it when left wing civvies called us peacekeepers! We were solders! Peacekeeping was an assignment not a vocation. Spent all are time getting ready for when the Soviets would move into western Europe. Thank god they never tried.

  • @MegaWolfgang aren't you in the reserves

  • @TheCFarmy I did 4 years with HTPS, back in the 70s, Than 8 years with 1 PPCLI. I'm to old now.

  • @MrDubDisciple lmao I just can't take you sersouly any more your some 16 year kid still waiting for his balls to drop grow a little hair join something with meaning and not a protest group stop smoking that shit you smoke then try and talk to me but until then your just some fucking kid that has no idea what his talking about

  • @MegaWolfgang laughing my ass off I check this kids account thing I can swear his 16 he maid a video about him smoking weed I really can't take this kid sersouly now

  • @TheCFarmy Neocon, neocon, oh little neocon. When will you learn to think for yourself instead of letting Darth Harperius make decisions for you?

  • And Canada will stand taller then any other country in the world if we keep on this path because we are the true north strong and free it's time we step out of the shadows and start a dawn of a new age

  • @TheCFarmy Your nationalism is on par with Stalin and Mao.

  • @MrDubDisciple how the fuck are we supposed to look Canada is finally playing a big role in modern times were commanding the mission were trying to forg a Canadian national identity for ones were standing up taking lead and showing people what Canada's about and that's standing for what's right in today's world we will not sit in the back ground any more snacking are head it's time to take action

  • @MrDubDisciple no the fact is you don't know what it's like to get shot at the fact is your all talk the fact is war is fucking messy lives get lost combatant are civilian when your at war Democracy goes out the fucking door and the path you take will result in a few lost lives are millions of lost lives it's about fighting for the right what don't you understand about this oh yeah you never been to war so you can never fully understand what goes on are how it works

  • Great video Matt!

  • @MrDubDisciple just do every one a favor and SHUT UP unless you been there unless you served there unless you served any where your just one of those god damn liberals that wanna cut funding and send us into war zones like afghan with green jungle CADPAT in litiles jeeps with no armor

  • @TheCFarmy Your taking my resentment for an illegal war and thinking it means I don't support military funding? Cut the generalizations please, it makes Canadians look like Americans. "IF YOUR NOT WITH US YOUR AGAINST US!" Guess what? I'm Canadian. Its my rights that were fought for and I will uphold them for future generations. Blame the liberals for Afghanistan, I voted Conservative in 2006 for increased military funding. I will not support our troops being involved in preemptive war.

  • @MrDubDisciple will you shut up already ARE YOU IN THE MILITARY HAVE YOU BEEN DEPLOYED my guess FUCK NO and HELL NO this shit is messy that's war it's been like this for hundreds of years you arguing here will it makes a god damn difference

  • @TheCFarmy So my not being deployed somehow changes the facts? That's the thing with law. Perspective, past experience and age don't factor. The words spell it out and as long as you can read you can make the same conclusions I have. Its all about whether your willing to accept it and make changes based on those.

  • @MrDubDisciple wow you most be out of come backs and reasons ha @MegaWolfgang good job you put the liberal in his place

  • @MrDubDisciple and Italy never fired a shot at us in WW2 but we still had to go there and start a war and give them there freedom back

  • @MrDubDisciple if we give up on this war now then his parents death would have been for nothing we at least owe him a better chance at freedom and a future

  • And if you want less freidly fire then raise the fucking military budget so we can get some better bomber NOW and some better smart bombs

  • Any one can do about it there is a certain cost of war and freedom you don't get it by asking nicely because freedom isn't free and if we weren't over there helping the rebels the alliance trying to get that monster to leave would of won and he would really take his anger out on the people there would be so many more dead you would not believ it'd be another genocide as a power that can help stop that we must are it'll be another rewanada situation

  • @MrDubDisciple well I feel bad for that kid and what makes you think that waulnd tof happend any ways gaddafi was killing his own people in large numbers back in 2002 I lost my cousin by friendly fire by an American F16 shit I was angry but I know now being over there it will happen and there's nothing

  • I swear this guy should make the CF adds

  • Stop believing everything you read on the news and peace keeping is only effective when your there peace making is more effective this way you take away the local threats from the population

  • @TheCFarmy I'm sure the kid who's who family just died from the bomb NATO dropped on his house in Tripoli feels the same way. Remove the "local threats" with large scale artillery.

    *sigh*

  • @MrDubDisciple No such thing as a politically correct war. That's what the lefties can't seem to understand. How many french, Belgian, Dutch, civilians were killed by allied operations in WW2. Yet I didn't see any of them crying about it now or back then. When we kill civilians its by accident, when the Taliban do it its on purpose. The reality of war for civvies is quiet simple. When the shooting starts get out of the way.

  • @MegaWolfgang Again, explain this to the child who's whole family was just massacred and he is left homeless, orphaned in a nation with complete political turmoil and no possible safety nets for him to be caught in. Where will his food come from? Shelter? Clothing?

"Sorry kid, your house shouldn't have been there. My bad."

It will be from Gaddafi as they are the one's fighting against the people who killed his family. This is how terrorism begins.

  • @MrDubDisciple Its war you fool. Its a bloody business. and not a game for left wing bleeding hearts. Blame the Qaddafi troops whom were using his house as a base and his family as human shields or better yet go hide your head in the sand or go hug a tree, campaign for the NDP, so if your type is ever in power we can surrender without firing a shot. Hell if people like you were making decision's 60 years ago we would all be speaking German now.;

  • @MegaWolfgang I believe in having a set of goals when going to war. Hell even a shopping list would be nice. However if you even talk to the head of this whole charade down at the NATO base the flights are taking off from even he doesn't know what the next step is.

Also explain the connection between Libya & WW2. Gaddafi never fired a shot at Canadians, neither has any Libyan even now. There was no threat to our soverignity and no democratic process regarding the mission. THAT is what bugs me.

  • @MrDubDisciple Hitler didn't fire a shot at Canadians ether. But if every nation waited until they were attacked Hitler would have won. It actually started out the way you think things should be done. Appease, appease and hope he gos away. Reality unfortunately showed its ugly head.

  • @MegaWolfgang Semantics. WW2 was a war that was voted on by the Canadian Parliament and enrollment was entirely voluntary into the military regarding the mission. This never occurred. Oh well, I'll leave it at that before we get into a Constitutional argument when we don't even have a valid one.

  • @MrDubDisciple Canadian Parliament did vote on the Libyan mission and even the wimpy NDP and the self serving Bloc voted for it. Or did you forget that.

  • And actually a large amount of Canadians in the Atlantic and Eastern provinces were of European, more specifically British, French, Dutch, or Polish descent, if somebody picked a fight with Portugal I would consider that a shot at me personally.

  • @MrDubDisciple I noticed the many Libyan Canadians whom were marching in the streets all over Canada, Pleading for the west to take action are not on your list?

  • @MegaWolfgang Then take action through proper democratic means. That is my main point. If this coalition of nations is really so noble then the Canadian Parliament should have no problem putting this war to an active vote either among MP's or to the people itself.

If your so confident that the public supports the mission then you should be willing to accept those terms. If such a vote had been undertaken I wouldn't be here making a stink about an illegal war because that is how democracy works.

  • @MrDubDisciple Parliament did vote. as I said before even the wimpy NDP and the Bloc supported it. What dream world do you live in? When in history did any nation have a referendum on whether or not to go to war? You go to war because its the right thing to do not because of opinion polls. Canada dos not go to war lightly, the fact Canada got involved shows the world that the cause is a just one. Lefties like to use illegal war alot. Tell me the difference between the two, and how do you judge?

  • @MegaWolfgang Parliament voted for a "no-fly" zone. Not to hunt Gaddafi down and turn our armed forces into little more then bounty hunters. Vigilantism is illegal correct? Or just because you can justify murder that makes it acceptable. Throw him in a gulag somewhere and let him truly rot and suffer every moment of the rest of his life.

That is lawful process. Following your own laws when you condemn someone else's is essential.

  • @MrDubDisciple Good lord. You don't even know in military terms what "No Fly Zone" means or initials do you?

  • @MegaWolfgang "No Fly Zone" logically should mean the denial of flight. The military definition is very interchangable but this is one I found.

    no-fly zone

    n

    1. (Military) an area in which aeroplanes may not fly, esp during wartime

    2. a taboo subject

    Collins English Dictionary – Complete and Unabridged HarperCollins Publishers 1991, 1994, 1998, 2000, 2003

I don't see, dropping bombs on ground forces anywhere in there? But then again I know how easy it is to bend the rules during war.

  • @MrDubDisciple First off the only rule in war is that their are no rules. No fly zone basically means all measure against the enemy short of actually putting troops on the ground. Air and sea is to used but no troops except Special forces raids etc. The enemy command structure including people, generals, kings, war lords, what ever they call themselves, become legitimate targets. If we find them we can kill them.

  • @MegaWolfgang Excuse me if I believe strongly enough in my democracy to uphold our own laws when we wish to condemn someone else. If there is no rule in war why do we have rules for police forces? They are their own type of soldier. Civil rights? That's the main arguement here right? Gaddafi violated human rights with indiscriminate killings. We are dropping bombs on people who have no capability to fire back. That's not very recognizing of the basic human rights.

  • @MrDubDisciple Wrong! Police are peace officers not solders. War is about combat and Combat is an environment were the normal rules of everyday society do not apply. The main argument here is that you through self delusion keep trying in your own mind to insert such thinking into the combat environment. Which in the reality of war is doomed to fail. Codes of conduct are observed by the troops in the field. But those codes can change depending on many factors. Rights are decided by the victors.

  • @MegaWolfgang You believe that our laws even under the extremes are ultimately, suggestions instead of RULES. That must be abided by. This is not negotiable. Why do we even have war crimes then? Is that basically the victor saying the loser will now sit in jail/be executed because they say so? War criminals are such because they break international law.

I see no reason why our own troops should be exempt from such when others are not. Me and you are bound by them.

  • @MrDubDisciple Im talking about battle field reality. You said it was an illegal war? I asked how is it illegal and by what criteria, and whom is doing the deeming?

  • @MegaWolfgang It says right there under any number of internationall binding documents, not the least of which is the UN Charter that an offensive, aggressive war is a war crime. Why was Iraq in violation of international law? Because it was an offensive war that, as we now see, was just a scapegoat for US anger post-9/11.

  • @MrDubDisciple AH now we see. You are another one of those, Its always the Americans fault, Seems to me it was Italy and France which began the air campaign against Gaddafi. But what are facts when there's a good lefty blame game to play.

  • @MegaWolfgang Its called precedence of law. They use it in Canadian courts everyday. And I remember Canada being the first one ready to answer the call to war. I stated above why Italy and France began the conflict with Gaddafi.

  • @MrDubDisciple Yet in your mind it's the big bad Americans fault? Can't argue with you on the UN due to in my opinion the UN is nothing but a waste of time and money. Something to make 3rd world leaders feel important. It can't do anything without the U.S. or Britain or Canada backing it up. Just like the old league of nations before ww2. Laws mean nothing when they can't be enforced. I don't see any post were you comment on France or Italy?

  • @MegaWolfgang Did I say anywhere it was Americans that caused this? I am just using that as the most recent example of mass illegal offensive warfare. Libya originally supplied vast amounts of oil to Italy and France because their own companies were drilling the oil and pumping it leaving none of the money to Libya. Gaddafi moved to repatriate the oil fields to give the profits to Libya. Less then two weeks later Gaddafi was branded a strongman, despite increasing the quality of living in Libya.

  • @MrDubDisciple Really? I thought it was because like in Egypt, mass numbers of Libyan citizens start protesting in the streets against Gaddafi's government and he responded by firing upon them. But I guess it was all about oil. Like can't the left find some other conspiracy theory.

  • @MegaWolfgang Those forces were Pro-Gaddafi milita. No official rank besides they had a gun and were not authorized or in any way under the direct command of Gaddafi. They were extreme nationalist just like how the rebels are noted religious extremists. Mass rape and ruthless killing of opposing civlians is a charge that can be laid against both sides.

Though the Al-Qaeda ties the rebels have was quickly hushed up I see. That one was quite well documented for about three days.

  • Also I would like the links to your resources for claiming the child's house was a base for Gaddafi's troops or that Gaddafi ever used civilian shields. Its not like neocons to make stuff up right?

  • @MrDubDisciple The point I was trying to make was collateral damage is a unavoidable reality of war. Civilian casualties are unavoidable. But what I do know is they are not the intended target. Unlike the Taliban in Afghanistan who do target civilians. Gaddafi's is a rather brutal SOB to. So as I said go back to bed and pull the covers over your head. War is not safe. Its a bloody business. And its not for the timid.

  • I am not against fighting for freedoms but I believe it should be done in and proper way and done quickly. There was never any democratic voting or debate to move the "no-fly" zone to "bomb the major capital city of a nation and hope the dictator actually gives a shit".

People, there is not even any guarantee Gaddafi is even IN Tripoli. That is just where they have the most buildings!

If Gaddafi is as heartless as you say, watching his people burn from NATO bombs won't affect him.

  • You have read are who you know but you have not been over there you do not know what we have did are what we have aclompished and sacrifice and the CF35 is a good choice the super hornet is good but production is ending in2013 no more parts then that air craft will be the last of maned generation fighters and why shouldn't the Canadian forces have the funding they deserve why shouldn't we get the good kit and why are guys like you so against for fighting for the right

  • @TheCFarmy I am not against fighting for freedoms but I believe it should be done in and proper way and done quickly. There was never any democratic voting or debate to move the "no-fly" zone to "bomb the major capital city of a nation and hope the dictator actually gives a shit".

There is not even any guarantee Gaddafi is even IN Tripoli.

  • @MrDubDisciple well I can already tell your all for the peace keeping and please keep your mouth shut about the war I don't care what in the hell

  • start of a new summer and i hope all are troops stay safe and come home alive..US an UK alike..isnt a day that goes by i dont think of the fallen..4 more years 4 more years till im in the Cf

  • People, please respect our allies. I know it is easy to point fingers at the US, but Canada has its share of faults too. And whether you support Canadian or American government agenda's is your choice, but there's no reason for the disrespect of either nations soldiers. Despite what hidden agenda's some politians may have, the soldiers are there fighting for their country, family, friends, rights, and the freedoms of people in oppressed nations. Personally I wish we we involved in more countries

  • @SharpSho0ter99 Granted. But the soldiers over there are not fighting for us or their country, or their friends. There is no declaration of war against Canada, no active threat to our soverignity and amen to being involved in more countries. Canada should lead the way and deploy into Syria where some REAL injustices are occuring and no questionable rebel alliance to take advantage of the situation. Its unarmed protesters against contracted foreign security firms.

  • @MrDubDisciple Actually somethin like 30 canadians were killed on 9/11. And Al Queda has declared war on Christians, which is the majority of soldiers and their families. And we definately need to be in Syria. Aswell as many places in Africa and we should also be putting more pressure on North Korea and Iran. The US has always had to be the main watch dog. Although we are often right next to them, they normally lead the way (except for WW1 and 2). Its about time we show some initiative.

  • @SharpSho0ter99 Al-Qaeda was not the target of the Afghan mission, neither are they the target of the Libya mission. 14 out of 19 hijackers on the planes were some Saudi Arabia like Osama himself, actually being royalty there. As for putting pressure on North Korea, I think that's a little unrealistic considering the size of our military and personally I would never support that kind of build up.

As for initiative I will quote Dr. Ron Paul.

"Offensive wars are for dictators and tyrants."

  • I can guarantee you we will have a ground war in Libya by 2012. Canada will have its own 9/11 soon enough.

  • canadianmatt i would just like to say i support the troops but not the mission afganstain is a lost attack the people there do not want us if they did they would not fight us our reputation as peacekeepers has been destroyed not only that but were sending our soliders into this knowing we wont win even though the taliban were oppresve democy only works in a stable country and not always theyre will only be more death because we destablised that nation and they wont be stable for somtime if ever.

  • @cciiss4499 Amen. Afghanistan is a nightmare that hopefully we will remember for a long time. I doubt it considering the latest deployment.

  • @cciiss4499 I'm not sure where you get the idea the people we are fighting are Afghans. It’s estimated that less then 30% of insurgents are Afghan. The vast majority come form other countries in the area, ie Pakistan. As for wont win, we can & will if we continue to stick it out.

So what if we have a reputation as peacekeepers, we have obligations to NATO. That's far more important then our reputation as peacekeepers. Nevertheless, wars are better fought overseas then here at home. Ref: 9/11

  • @JimmyG228 we dont have that reputation we have the reputation as pupets and the taliban were saudis and palastines supplied by a guy in pakistan plus the taliban arnt the only ones who are fighting against us there are quiet a few militas and smaller groups that are fighting us we arnt that popular and we should fool ourselfs that everyone likes us

  • @cciiss4499 Al Qaeda planned & executed the 9/11 attacks. Yes 11 or 12 of them were Saudis, but they were not members of the Taliban. The only militia units in Afghanistan are either from NATO countries or from the ANA (Afghan National Army). So we don’t fight against them. Sometimes, though not that often we do fight some war lords & their privet armies.

Many people do see us as puppets, mostly Americans, however the fact is we are not puppets. We have obligations to protect NATO.

  • @JimmyG228 NATO is only a orgainistion many time other countries have backed out of operations we are in debt so are the americans we cant keep fight these wars or we will lose are abilty to help anyone even outselfs

  • @cciiss4499 NATO is more then an organisation. It's 1 of Canada's 2 military alliances. The whole point of NATO is if 1 member is attacked, all NATO defends who was attacked. The old, you fight me, you fight my gang rule. Wars cost a lot as you said, but they are some times a necessary evil.

Mark my works budz. If NATO pulls out before Afghanistan is ready, it will only be a matter of time before we are attacked again. I much rather fight our enemies on their door step, then my door step.

  • @JimmyG228 so your saying we have a right to murder there people and force our on the people there

  • @cciiss4499 I don't know of any case of Canadian troops murdering people. We are at war, people die, that doesn't make it murder. We are not forcing anything on the Afghans. Ive been to Afghanistan, have you been there? I bet not. For the most part, I'd say about 70% of the Afghans welcome the help we provide them. They dont like why its necessary we are there but like that we are not there ruling over them. We aren't an occupational force.

It seems to me you dont know what you're talking about.

  • @JimmyG228 no i have not been there and i respect that youve been there but there have been crimes commited by our troops while there not as frequent they happen theyre have been cases of canadians killing civilans with no reason while not all soliders are like this it happens and i do know what im talking about and techincaly we are forcing things in them were forcing a goverment that is corrupt and fruaded there elections how is that differnt from the last goverment

  • @cciiss4499 If our soldiers did kill civilians, it would be commonly known among all Canadians. The news would be all over it like flies on shit. Since there has been nothing in the news accusing Canadian soldiers of murdering unarmed civilians, I find it very highly unlikely it's ever happened. You are making things up.

Also we never forced this government on the Afghans, the US did. After the US did that, the country held free elections to legalize the government. Afghanistan is a democracy.

  • @JimmyG228 @cciiss4499 acualy most war crimes go unknown when the americans do them its usualy somone in the CIA who leaked intel go on a site called wiki-leaks theres a few unhonerable things canada did and they british mi5 put out documents proving that the president od afganstain frauded the elections

  • @cciiss4499 CIA, MI5. US soldiers murdering civilians. None of that proves Canadians commited any war crimes and/or murdered civilians. Wiki-leaks has never accused Canadians of commiting war crimes or murdering civilians. If they did, it would be all over the news and members of the CF would be up un serious charges and the PM, Harper would likely lose his job for covering up the crimes.

Just cuz the US commited war crimes, does not mean we have too. The US and Canada are 2 different countries.

  • @JimmyG228 oh really well Mr.Harper has known about the CIA tourtering a 16 year old canadian civilan and hasnt done a thing about and the poor boy was never charged so basicly hes let hes own people left to dry its on wiki leaks and it was confrimed by video

  • @cciiss4499 It's not the PMs job to hold the CIA acountable for it's actions. So what should Harper do, bitch and complain? That's all he can do. If the tourtering took place inside Canada, then yes the PM could do something about it. The CIA does not answer to the Canadian goverment. Lastly, the CIA tourtering a Canadian is only a crime if it's done within Canada or the US. Where was he tourtered?

  • @JimmyG228 Its harper job to try and protect canadians if he cant get the job done he shouldint be in charge infact he sent intelgence service men to observe the torture the torture took place in guantoma bay witch is technicaly american soil regardless if its a crime its still wrong and it shows that americans dont give a damn about us if it would benifit them theyd be happy to sell us out theyve done it befor

  • @cciiss4499 It's Harper's job to protect Canadians here in Canada. No Canadian has the authority to enforce our laws out side of Canada. The only exception is member of the CF, they are subject to Canadian laws at all times here or overseas. There is a loop hole in international and US laws that makes what the US does in Gitmo legal. It's a huge grey area. Read the Geneva Convention where is talks about armed civilians committing acts of terror. It may be very wrong, but no illegal tourtering.

  • @JimmyG228 buts it is still illegal or at least wrong and they have no reason to because he was never charged he still is a member of our country and there must be some attempt to save him legal or not hes a canadian and should be helped by hes goverment if they dont then it would probley mean harper is spinless

  • @cciiss4499 That Canadian kid was seen killing US soldiers in Iraq. The Geneva Convention says non-uniformed persons fighting against uniformed soldiers are not entitled to POW status. It is POW status that protect persons captured by our troops. This means even though it's very wrong, you could not only torture but also kill a non-uniformed person who fought against US or Canadian Forces. No crime would have been committed. That's likely why Harper turned a blind eye to the torture.

  • @JimmyG228 acualy this was in afganistan and a grande was thrown by somone killing a american but they didnt know who it was by so the pick up the nearist person they found but still no charges chances are he will be put in front of a firing squad for hes 18th birthday

  • @cciiss4499 Right, I forgot it was Afghanistan. I wasn't too sure about that detail.

Why do you go on saying he wasn't charged? He was and he pled guilty to the charges. He was given life in person. The Canadian government is trying right now to get him transferred to a Canadian prison to serve his time. Being guilty of murdering an American soldier, while not being protected by the Geneva Convention, it's my opinion he should be shot. Oh and he had his 18 birthday 6th years ago.

  • @JimmyG228 you should also know that when he was arrested he was underaged and there for he cannot be charged because he qualify under child solider and have to be rehabiltated the way they got the confesion was by tourter witch under no court of law can be taken as a legal plea

  • @cciiss4499 Those laws don't protect terrorist for the last time. If he had shot a US soldier in the US at aged 16. The US justice system would more then likely tri him as an adult anyways. So you're argument there is weak. That confession was not submitted to the trial. He pleaded guilty to all charges before the trial even started. He was guilty and is guilty.

  • @JimmyG228 wait did u say he did it the US the one im talking about happend in afganistan while he was visting family not in the US like you said

  • @cciiss4499 I said, "If he had shot a US soldier in the US at aged 16." Note the word "If" at the beginning of the sentence. That means it was hypothetical. I can't believe I have to educate you on grade school English.

Omar Khadr, the Canadian who killed a US soldier in Afghanistan ,who was also shot twice in a long firefight is a terrorist. According to international law, terrorist do not have rights. You can shoot them without any reason and it's not a crime. Khadr is getting off easy.

  • @JimmyG228 No due process? No court appearance? If somebody had done the same action in downtown Toronto they are suddenly entitled to these wonderful privileges but across the ocean its the law of the jungle.

    Your logic scares me.

  • @cciiss4499 While you have a some what informed opinion of the war, it is still poorly informed. I never bother arguing with those who appose the war when they have a well informed opinion. However people like you, I do argue with openly. You have a narrow view of the war, don't fully understand it and decide not to agree with it. That's just stupid. That's like someone who has never watched hockey saying it's a bad sport cuz people get hurt and they fight. No one would listen to that person.

  • @JimmyG228

He's covered up far worse and still retained his job, so I'm not sure of that.

  • @JimmyG228

It has happened, actually, but it was accidental. I seem to recall a few stories of people driving up to checkpoints and not stopping despite warnings to, so they are shot by the Canadian Forces. That isn't really killing innocent civilians, though. It's just a really stupid thing to do.

  • @JimmyG228 Portugal has our seat on the Security Council. Ask them.

  • It should be 2001 sir, JTF2 participated in the invasion in early December of 2001.

  • @SNeyePED Yes I am very much so aware of that, but the bulk i.e 99.9% of the mission from the 3PPCLI battle group under the command of Colonel Pat Stogran did not arrive until January and February of 2002. Canadian Soldiers on exchange programs with allied forces also took part in the early phase of the war. Op Apollo did start in 2001 with Naval assets also mobilized. 2002 is what set forth the Canadian commitment to Afghanistan and what took place in 2006 to return to the South in full combat.

  • nice vid bro...one of the best iv seen. good job

  • Whatever shit people say, even coming from fellow canadians about how we shouldnt be in Afghanistan or in Lybia pisses me right off. Canada, as a nation, has and always will be a big help to whoever is in need. Our country is the way it is thanks to all our military fighting for what is right. My greatest respects to all members of the Canadian forces and other foreign forces.

  • If I could please remind people to click the "Like" button if you do like the video, I have a lot of anti military and very liberal YouTube profiles who like to click dislike and such.

  • @canadianmatt3 Thank you for all the great tributes to our military and country; Keem em coming!

  • @canadianmatt3

I'm not in a habit of hitting the "Like" button on videos, but I'll definitely start on yours. I don't get these "very liberal" YouTubers. I'm an NDP supporter and I support and respect our troops. You can argue the politics and policies all day, but when it comes down to it, we're the true north strong and free because of the Canadian Forces. They at least deserve our gratitude, respect, admiration, and tribute. Love your videos.
