second, the largest part of my family are religious fanatics, and i didnt reject neither jesus nor god until i read the bible. i was indoctrinated at a young age, but woke up, so i have tried it.
god gave us the book to understand the earth is flat, the oldest rock in the universe at a mere 6000 years and also the center of it? to understand that women have one rib less than men?

The earth is a sphere (Isaiah 40:22). At a time when many thought the earth was flat, the Bible told us that the earth is spherical.
an earth of that age makes more sense, to me. we can argue that but it would be a whole different convo.
the bible says women were made of the side (rib) of the man. what you are saying, i'm not sure where you heard that.

ever since about 500BC scientists have known the earth was sphere, and then the bible comes centuries after and says its flat, not spherical. whatever book it is you have, its not the proper bible, but a heavilly edited version.
when the devil takes jesus atop the highest mountain, and lets him see the entire world, that is one thing that still remains from the bibles claim of a flat earth.
the earth being older than 6K years is not open for debate.

christopher columbus sailed the ocean in 1492...people were scared because they thought the earth was flat. obviously he thought differently, but the knowledge at that time and before it was that the earth was flat.

look, its been known since 500BC, BC for crying out loud that the earth is ROUND. the bible claimed it was flat, but after the big blunder was noticed, the bible was yet again, as it has been so many times before, edited.

not things like evolution or the age of the earth, which go about to disprove the bible. no where can that be proven or tested.
if all the bibles were burnt, a lot would be gone, but we still have our faith and knowledge, which you are underestimating. it would be tragic, but truth is truth, and it would be able to survive...just less of it would be common knowledge.

I think the placing all your beliefs on one book is a quick and cheap way of denying the factual scientific argument that can be proven in a variety of different ways.

That's not quite right. I, for example, am an atheist, too, but i got christian relatives and friends, too. I do not hate them! And I don't hate VFX because of his faith (in fact, i don't hate him at all, i just thing he should get a better hobby...).
It's just his behaviour and the way he talks about other people (atheists) that's highly insulting. One remembers perhaps his one video where he clearly states that in his opinion, atheists do not have any love in them.
