I watched a documentary about the atrocities brought forth by Pol Pot that was filmed not too long after "Year Zero" ended by John Pilger and Prince Sihanouk was quoted as saying that Nixon and Kissinger were responsible for this. If you want to view the documentary, just search google video and put in John Pilger. I think it's rather shameful that nothing was done by my country's government to stop Pol Pot.

For those who still doubts Prince (or King) Sihanouk involvement, I would recommend a book written by himself in French in the early 80's in which he stated clearly his alliance with the khmer rouge guerrilla in the 70's.

I have this movie. I bought it at Fry's Electronics in Sacramento CA. Great film but too short. The movie is too focus on how she (Sothea) lived during the Khmer Rough. Film maker should focus on how she lived and became singer before the communist took over Phnom Penh.
