They didn't comment on any other album of Metallicas, and they're covering one of their songs so they obviously have a good respect for the band. Dude Gabriel owns for saying something that nobody else in the music industry had the balls to say about St Anger. Thank god DM got them back on track to their Thrash roots. And no, Metallica is my favorite band of all time so I don't just say that to spite them, I say St Anger sucks because it is absolutely nothing like Metallica. They can't play in Drop C, it doesn't work for them. I have no idea how they made the snare that bad but they did, and there are no solos.

Actually, Metallica now considers St Anger a mistake, and plays none of it live. Plus, its kind of a love/hate deal. Their love for them is so intense that their hatred of something bad from them is just as(or more) intense.

I love Metallica, like really really. i think this is a good cover but it misses Hetfields vocals! i havnt really heard much of Black Tide but they have a good taste in music if they like Metallica. and guys.
