  • how can i make lines smooth out like in the line tool with smooth? i want to make my square have smooth sides

  • @ObscurityN use the tool called 'fillet' when you click 'vertex'

  • THANK YOU!!!!!!!! I was trying to model high heel.. the sole part is kinda hard... I have search many videos... yours just perfectly what I need... thank you~

  • I'm coming to Max from Blender. A tutorial that makes use of blender analogies would be perfect for ppl like me. I understand if you have never used Blender. Maybe you know of a group that has already done this?

  • I'm pretty sure a box-modelling approach would be much much faster than spline-modelling. I use box-modelling for most of my models and it's a really fast and dirty way to model things

  • this technique rarely works, autodesk should fix the bugs before putting it in their tutorials

  • where can i find that bkacground picture

  • @ozakugeek2 This tutorial in 3d max look for it there tells you where you are, if not well written is that i´m use google translator

  • T.T I keep trying to do this but every time I go to apply the surface onto the body cage, it doesn't come out right; its all choppy. Could you tell me why this is happening?

  • Hi I am using the 2010 version and I have a problem with the refine and connect part, I did exactly what the tutorial said, but instead of creating a single vertex, it creates two vertex, one on top of the other, I did the whole process again, and the same problem happened, is there any checkbox I should mark?, I didnt watch the others tutorials, I only need to learn how to make the knight.

  • @RIGENSTEIN Yes I often had that problem that in some way the vertices were not connected although 'connect only' was selected. A way to so solve this problem is to 'welding' the 2 vertices together. select both the 2 vertices and click the weld button in the geometry tab of your models modifier.

  • i Have a problem with the surface. WHen i use surface some polygons dont take the surface :( can u help me ?

  • @donaltios make sure that vertices are connected to each other and that there are no overlapping vertices . Use the weld tool to merge vertices toegether.

  • @Aggror89 i do it but the vertices dont merged :(

  • You are great! I have to do a homework (3ds max scene off chess set) and I have a big problem with modeling a Knight. Other figures are easy to make by Line -> Lathe, but the Knight...

    So, thank you!

  • thanks for the tutorial. is it just me or do the tuts that come with 3d max seem to have some errors or lack of thorough instructions x__x

  • i can't move the green line sideways i can only move it up and down so it gets bigger, why is this?

  • nvm lol i got it i didnt press the X for the X-Axis movement XD

  • I don't suppose you could make a tutorial on how to make the Doctor Who intro sequence could you?
