While Hinduism is generally regarded as polytheistic, they have a rather unique form of it....some call it soft polytheism. Their scriptures speak of the existence of One God, who has no likeness, who they call Brahman who we may say is the equivalent of Yahweh, Allah etc. There is no controversy over the concept of Brahman.
