not to mension that ITG has way better pads, better songs, and usb ports so you can play custom songs. They're also hackable so you can put whatever songs you like on the machine, and have whatever theme you want.

Oh, and the increased difficulty is not unnecessary - all the official charts are pretty easy to pass, and people have gotten over 99% on all of them.

You're free to disagree. I prefer the short, poppy, sometimes-too-happy DDR songs to the regular techno/dance/etc. music (which is often painfully slow to build up, in my opinion, at least on the ITG maching near my house), so to me DDR has the better music, but it is just an opinion. DDR has all the stuff I like without me having to spend the time to make or download mods or extra songs, however short it may take.

The difficulty comes from the strict timing for individual steps and the unforgiving "life" bar. I tend not to car about percentages and technicalities of the games since I'm not amazing at them, just average. We can both have fun, just being on different machines means we don't have to take turns! XD
