  • 1:17 Ding; drive faster alert.

  • did you install it yourself?when i did an intake on a bmw a whie back i noticed that in all of its expensive wisdom they faced the clamps towards the engine so theres virtually no room to unscrew the clamp and get the tube off

  • Anyway , i don't have the money to do any mods now I will wait till December. I hope that till then most tuners will make something for the 128i/125i to because as you said tuners concentrate on the 135i now... But I tink it will take them a while till they will make something interesting. Best ragards! Drive safe!

  • Strange... i have a friend that ownes a 130i (european version) and from the exhaust only,he gained 10 bhp on the dynotest... he didn't had the BMW performance exhaust that replaces the final exhaust, he replaced everything with a pipe from the engine to the back of the car.But there is a problem, because that is not 100% road legal . As for an ECU upgrade, search more , every tunner can get at least 20 bhp from ECU. I have found someone who dose it here...but it's a little to expensive for 21bhp

  • There is one tuner that recently developed and is offering a software flash gaining only 12rwhp for all 128i engines but expensive. Unfortunately, all tuners here concentrate their efforts on the 135i and the 128 owners are a forgotten bunch. All 128i owners that are on the 1Addicts forum have been searching and waiting for something, including me.

  • Nice , nice... did you do a chiptuning to ? ECU upgrade ? I would like to get more info because i want to do some mods to my car but in my country the intake and the exhaust alone coste 3000+ USD without puting them on the car... and than the ECU upgrade somewhere between 700-800 USD . I would expect a dynorun to be around 260 bhp(the european version 125i has 218 bhp stock) .

If you know how many bhp you have now I would be glad to know , to see if it is worth the money :) Thank you! Drive safe

  • In the US adding 48bhp to a modern US-spec normally aspirated BMW engine is next to impossible and unheard of. The only way is to add a turbo or supercharger. If not then change cams, manifold, custom tune. No ECU upgrade in US yet that can add big gains. IMO I would not pay 3000 USD for intake and exhaust only. I would do suspension and exhaust first. In the US the most we can get from intake and exhaust on a newer BMW is 5-12 hp if we are lucky. Sorry, not what you want to hear.

  • Great video! Few people take time to do good quality videos like this. I have the 125i it is the european version of the 128i and i can't wait to have the performance exhaust. Did you do the intake to ?

  • Yes, I have the BMW performance intake. It makes the car react a bit quicker above 2,000 rpms.

  • it would sound better if u drove faster

  • Well god damn, gorgeous car man. I love that Sedona red.

  • lol. ding... seatbelt?
