Very nice playing and tone. I was an Ibanez player for 10 years (my first "Good" bass was a '92 MIJ SR-800 & then moved up to an *killer* SR-1206 six-string) before reevaluating all parts of my playing (stylistically, sonically, strings) and changing all my gear to how I wanted to sound, but it's been very nice to see starting with the 5000 series Ibanez has re-committed to making professional-level basses, was it seems from the late '90s to late '00s they didn't make ANY basses at that level.
@ooooJESUSoooo Yes. This video was taken the day that the bass arrived (factory strings & tension). However, since Arsenic plays at C# standard (the tuning which "Goodbye" is meant to be played in), this bass will soon be slightly modified to accomodate this. I'll be sure to post the outcome \m/ :) -Pick
@haggis325 SWR Mo Bass.. You can see it sitting ontop a Marshall half stack, although its running thru the Ampeg fridge cab that we all shared that night. There's a video, on my facebook page, of Arsenic performing "The Beauty of what is lost", in which the same SWR is running thru Hartke's (4.5XL + 410tp). I've been talking about upgrading the Hartke's, for years now... However, they just don't wanta quit :)
(part 2) She's still new to me. So I'll be sure to pay better attention to sympathetic vibration, now that you've brought it to my attention. It plays great and sounds even greater. I had to lower a few EQ's on my amp, even though my previous bass had an 18v preamp.
You're asking if one strings note ceases to vibrate another string, correct? Although this bass is still new to me, I've noticed that I have to pay MORE attention to muting previously played notes in order to keep the increased resonance from interfering with the current note. I havent noticed any unplayed strings humming, though, if that is your concern. I think the monorail kind of makes up for the lack of a neck thru.
Thanks! I've been playing for about 14 years or so. You can hear the studio recording of "Goodbye", either on Arsenic's myspace page: /Arsenic or on the facebook page: /ArsenicMusic. This was just a quick take on the tune, to test the SR's tone :)
Kinda Toolish! Wow, pretty sick vibe on that bad boy.
Thanks for the clip! I guess theses Prestige Ibez are pretty awesome.

Awesome sound, I love how thin the necks are, it's not like playing on a tree log like most basses. Awesome video!
