I love how passionate she was in this performance. You can tell she was giving the message to "make it happen" to the Children Choir Of Africa. She's such an inspiration. PS: For everyone who's saying her voice is raspy and kinda rough should know that if you were to sing as hard and as much as she does you'd have the same problem i can assure you that. The roughness, lightness, and strength of her voice give her vocals amazing character. She is SUPER TALENTED.

I don't think that her old songs are difficult as they are more totally different in dynamics.. Most of her old song had alot of belting.. her new songs have a breathy quailty. and thats a very hard thing to master.
actually, her new songs are more difficult to sing live, cause there´re so many vocals, and is more complex to manage the whisper register; agree with u, her old songs has a lot of belts, but the 2 technics are different and difficult in their own way.
I don't think mariah ever lipsynchs her old songs. I haven't heard a lipped vision of love or make it happen. which is strange to me because i think her older stuff are a lot more difficult to sing then her new, r&b songs.

I'm sorry but this is not a great performance. Her voice is dreadful. It's strained and not powerful like it used to be. It's lost all it's soulful quality. And what the hell does she look like?! The old Mariah has well and truly gone!! :-( HOWEVER, what I will say is she does give it her best here, but if you look back on clips of her singing this in 1995 there is such a difference it's frightening.
she looked so much better with her "natural" style in 2005 than she looks now in 2008. this song by the way evokes such an 80's-vibe, wonderful!!! greez from central europe!

I don't think that her old songs are difficult as they are more totally different in dynamics.. Most of her old song had alot of belting.. her new songs have a breathy quailty. and thats a very hard thing to master.

actually, her new songs are more difficult to sing live, cause there´re so many vocals, and is more complex to manage the whisper register; agree with u, her old songs has a lot of belts, but the 2 technics are different and difficult in their own way.

I don't think mariah ever lipsynchs her old songs. I haven't heard a lipped vision of love or make it happen. which is strange to me because i think her older stuff are a lot more difficult to sing then her new, r&b songs.

I'm sorry but this is not a great performance. Her voice is dreadful. It's strained and not powerful like it used to be. It's lost all it's soulful quality. And what the hell does she look like?! The old Mariah has well and truly gone!! :-( HOWEVER, what I will say is she does give it her best here, but if you look back on clips of her singing this in 1995 there is such a difference it's frightening.

it's not true because Mariah's older brother used to be a model and he was the one who helped Mariah financially. i think there was a case that reached the court and there were orders for Mariah not to talk about her sister and vice versa. didja know that the custody of all of her sister's children are hers? and Mariah pays everything for them, Shawn, for example, got into Harvard law.
