Quit hating a band that is obviously doing what they love just cause it's not what you were looking for!

I'm glad i found this band, it may not be the most "brutal" or "technical" but listen to that atmosphere! Listen to that soul! This is Doom Metal after all.

@ShittyMcPoopyBalls I disagree. I think that telling that it was copied is awful, actually it is also pretty stupid, since you could easily check the facts first.

As far as I know "Serpent's Rise" (Derek Roddy's band) was NOT formed before his departure from Hate Eternal, which happened in 2006 (!!!), but SERPENT RISE, the south american doom metal band in this video, was formed in 1993 (!!!). Do the math. Not even Hate Eternal existed at that time.

But ironically, I bet that Derek Roddy would have a better more open-minded attitude about this music than you do. Those of you who hold Derek is such high esteem for his musical talent should also recognize and emulate his attitude about art.

One would expect metal fans, people who understand what it means to be rejected my mainstream culture, to be a bit more accepting of (or willing to understand) that which seems unfamiliar.

SR is one of the oldest doom metal bands in South America, being formed in 1993. There is no member called Derek there
