  • Excellent review

  • Good vid but that bag is bloody noisy. Now I know why you're up at 4am! Regards.

  • fake... i didn't see any thermometer outside to proof your statement, plus if it was that cold and you warm, i didnt see any hot heat coming out of your mouth....

  • Excellent video and test. You went all out to find out if its a good product or not. Thanks and please keep up the good work.

I'm going to buy one of those bags...seems like a good thing to keep in the car during the winter time here in Northern Michigan.

  • its a bear twinkie

  • thats fucking summer in wales for gods sake

  • what about precautions concerning asphyxiation?

  • We should make babies!

  • hi, what brand or style is the emergency blanket and where can you get it?...thanks

  • @supercooldude1953 "Blizzard Survival Sleeping Bag"

  • id like to see minimalist at -20f

  • Can be this blanket used more times?

  • You're cute!! ...If you're not wearing much I would definitely give you something to stay nice and warm!! lol ...body warmers are 3x bigger than hand warmers and don't weight much. :)

  • It´s 4 AM, an you look still so great? Cute survival girl. :)

  • @atsekbatman even cute without make up

  • that thing looks awesome but in all truth i have to much bitch in me to sleep on the ground i have a HUGE fear of spiders T_T

  • I was made to live solo in the woods of nc for 2weeks as part of sere training, one thing is for sure, that damned earth eats bodyheat if u dont have anything under you

  • will they rip easily or do they hold up okay?

  • You look like a bear Tamale !

  • where are you that its 5 degrees out this time of year? where is the condensation from your breath at 5 degrees? especially when the light is flashing in your face should see allot of condensation from breath?

  • @salmer666

I think she meant celsius, she's in the UK. That's about 41 degrees Farenheit

  • If you people are going to carry one of these DO YOURSELF A FAVOR. Fully unpack the thing, refold it and put it in a ziplock or nylon stuff sack. Plenty of people have been found dead by SAR with emergency blankets in their possession still folded up. If you are reaching for one of these in real life you are going to be so cold that your fine motor skills are going to be seriously degraded to the point where opening a vacuum packed emergency blanket will be almost impossible.

  • @wye4379 if a person carrying one of these gets to that point, what are they doing out on their own, common knowlege would tell you to bivvy up long before this point, and make a hot drink.those who get that cold in any situation should not be on the hills ,just stay home and play the PS3 or X box.The SAR teams are getting fed up with would be bear grylls types getting into trouble going off half cocked in the winter, summer, autumn oh sod it all bloody year.

  • @576ito1080p Not sure where you live, but where I hike/climb weather can sneak up on you fast (nice dayhike to blizzard in 5 min). While I agree with you on the Bear Grylls factor, plenty of highly trained teams have found themselves in bad situations in the mountains. Even if you are highly trained (me 20+ years of climbing), if you have no tools to get you out of the situation you are going to be a popsicle. My only point was to make sure that you can use what you have in your pack.

  • @wye4379 I totally agree with you as for where im in Kent in the UK,not that has much to do with me being on a scottish mountain in sub zero temps and the wind blowing a hooley , so i know what you mean ,even if you have done it for a few years ;o) for me going out started in 78 err 1978 that is..my point was when any of us are out dont take chances you can't get out of.

  • At £28.60 each its not bad, if you want to keep the weight to a minimum in your kit and they come in 3 colours silver, green & orange (IDO)

  • Try to ignore the idiots, they have nothing intelligent to say, so they have to make wise cracks. You do a great job on product reviews and instructional vids alike. Keep them coming... thanks.

  • Thousands of snowboarders make their way up each year on

treacherous mountain tops and are forced to spend the night.

There is no way in Hell I am going to spend three hundred

bucks (300) on your bogus plastic bag. <--(jk!)

    That was so Cute!!! ;)

Can we have your little sister on agian the naxt time?

    (lol)

  • I think I'll get one.

  • Love you videos, keep 'em coming.

  • lay on top of me i ll be ur ground protection anytime

  • Wish i could look as good as you at 4 in the morning :')

great video, love all your videos :D

  • It's like a candy bar for bears.

  • 5 degrees..... Celsius I'm hoping?

  • @PeakSurvival Fahrenheit or Celsius?

  • Hey @PeakSurvival, make sure you use sun block even in the winter if you are going to be in the sunshine. And a good pair of sun glasses that block ultra violet rays.

  • I think another use for it would be for outdoor sporting events, like football games when it is very cold and windy out. And if you cut the bottom you can walk with it on and probably be good to go for a halloween outfit. :-)

  • I think I will get one to stow away in the car. Never know when I might get stuck in snow this winter. Thanks!

  • Its very mild weather here in Britain for this time of year at moment. Survival Bag or light weight bivi is well worth having which i used few times in bad weather....

  • "I'm really not wearing much underneath, I have.. here let me show you..." 8-)....

    "I have a thin fleece, t-shirt..." :'-(

  • awww too cute. like a yummy taco

  • I have something like this I carry in the car it is a bivy sack ~$30 Cabellas I think you recommended this any way I tote that and a hammock no weight at all but if I am ever traveling and get stranded I have a backup to get a nights sleep.

  • Canadian!! :)

  • does it take as much room as a sleeping bad? or more? or less?

    thank u

  • -- WOW! Hard-Core Testing! -- Thanks for sharing!

  • grate vid i was looking at these last week do you think you could use it more than 1 time or is it a 1 night only thing????

  • you make awesome videos keep them coming! :)

  • very good and informative reviews and i think that, that little piece of gear could an will most definitely save somebodies life someday if it hasn't already. Thanks again Selica

    take care

    peace

  • You should test me, a big fat american.. I can keep you warmer than that bag... And I am avalable for testing.. LOL

  • I think u r a very cool girl and its a shame we have people who don't have the capacity to see a strong girl like you and so they are very rude and immature. U keep up your vids and they r very helpful and good :)

  • @pesarirooni62 wow it makes me proud to see that there are still people who can think in such a mature capacity....very good points you make.

    peace

  • @rickpayne90 thanks :)

  • Room for two? it won't condensate.

  • so... no sweat and no condensation?!?

  • @bushcraftmyway thats why it wouldn't work

  • this bag is soooo hot !!!!!

  • Well thats pretty interesting id say.. ima check into one perhaps, thank you much keep up the good vids! :)

  • i love you!!!!!!!

  • Can you and your sister get in the bag at the same time? vid please!

    No really!

  • that will be added to my kit for sure. thanks.

  • Hottie

  • Cool product - reminds me of an idea I had quite a while ago, but never tried out: Wrapping yourself up in bubble wrap foil instead of a sleeping bag.

    Thx, Tim

  • My God your hot! and i'm not talking about being in that bag. your stunning! I wish you would agree to come speek at a president puttin funded out doors head quarters meeting in Ufa, Russia. I am sure they would cover the costs, as you are a big hit there. im also sure you could bring a husband, boy friend or ? who ever on their dime as well. think it over. cheers

  • 5 degrees C or F? Gr8 3 part series.

  • Seems like a great bag for both compactness and insulation.

  • Watch the tree vids, give you tumbs up, seems to be a great product, thanks for all the good information!

  • Excellent 3 pt review! Well done!

  • Just Came across your video's. I like the short videos with the survival facts.

    Just subscribed.

  • I have seen these. They look really interesting, but they were a little pricey, and also a little bulky for a small kit.

  • People don't realize how cold it gets in Canada, I am from Calgary Alberta and I have gone camping in the winter a few times up by Mt. Robson, 30 or 40 below is crazy cold, people should not camp in that for fun unless they have some serious gear which sadly I did not , we just lived by the fire all night - LOL

  • @pwrmek Ya Man Im from Saskatchewan and it gets cold up in these parts most people dont realize what -45 feels like if your out in it for any period of time!

  • Good review! You always keep the reviews to the facts and details.. Great Video Series!

  • Because it's plastic do you find you are sweating a lot with it??

  • This would be great as a budget sauna! Over a bed of willow on heated stones, good times.

  • How many uses is this bag good for?

  • hahah I'm really not wearing much underneath.

Seems like it should have something more comfortable around the head tie area, like a wool blend or fur or something.

    -TEW

  • @theeastwatch she usually sells more than gear :)

  • Comment removed

  • It's 4AM. I'm not wearing much.

  • Would that be 5 degrees Fahrenheit or centigrade?

  • @Meaglin7 I'm gonna go out on a limb and say she's using Celsius. 5°F is way below freezing, and according to recent weather reports from UK, it hasn't quite gotten that cold there yet.

  • thanks girl ill look 4 it :)

  • A mesh over the face would have been good to keep the bugs out. It would probably keep your face a bit warmer whilst allowing moisture to leave, rather than having to keep your face/mouth fully exposed. Thanks for the review.

  • THANK YOU , THAT IS A LIFE SAVER , WORTH ITS WEIGHT IN GOLD

  • @tracycolorado Probably more. They're not very heavy.
