@Camilo21986 I used a recording program called Fraps (I paid for the full version). It automatically picks up sounds from the game being recorded. There are probably some free recording programs you can find on the web that work pretty good.

Yeah, everyone interested should try the battlezone1 (dot) net website, for the upcoming 1.5 patch based on DirectX9 for modern hardware!

@plasticksrt aha, it's a true DirectX9 version, the 1.5 patch is maintained by Ken Miller who has been one of the original game's team programmers and has the sources, so he has replaced outdated DirectX calls with DirectX 9 calls and much more. Try the patch, it's pre-release now.

It's honestly such a shame that original games like this don't exist anymore.

The rush this game gives you during online competition is still unmatched. The physics are still unmatched. Everything about this game is astounding.

Pandemic Studios completely ruined this game. And it's a complete tragedy that a sequel to this has yet to been realized.

I liked the gnarly fight with the furies, too. It was a lot of fun since all of my Tanks and Light Tanks were equipped with either SP-Stabbers (probably duo) or the Flash Cannon, plus having Rocket Tanks are nice for brute force.

great vid man i still love this game :) it is a real classic the sequl was good but the first just had some of the best gamplay of any game ever i personally like playing on the russian side i find the missions more challanging but both sides are good

i think this game should be just as popular as counter strike or halo or and of those games thx mate XD

Definitely, dude. The gameplay was off-the-charts awesome. I think the fanbase is smaller, but for those that like the game don't just like it, they love it.

I agree that the Russian side was a bit more difficult. I like playing the end missions of the US side when you got to team up with the Russians and fight the Fury. :)

Excellent job there QFuzzle. I still play that game today. I think I have beat it 8 time all the way through on the CCA and NSDF. If Activision ever makes another Battlezone I think you should make the commercial for it.

If you have beaten it 8 times all the way through, you must be good, man. Have you ever tried beating the game on hard? It is a lot of fun when you become pro at the game cuz it really challenges you (especially on levels with the aliens).

Hey Q, great job on the video! I watched it earlier, but didn't get a chance to comment until now. I think my favorite part was when you edited between the rotating vehicles and game play at the end. I also really liked the cutting between the two different battles around 3:20. Both times were excellent uses of the music to compliment the edits. There were a lot of great things you did, but those two parts stood out to me. Great job, bro! Send me a link if you post any more videos. :)
