  • a stock s2000 has under 200 hp to the wheels i have a buddy the dynod his stock s2k right around 180-190 , a stock srt-4 has 230 to the wheels so an srt has at least 30-50 more hp and a shit load more tq so at the end of the day a stock srt will still beat a stock s2k , remember theres a diffrence between flywheel and wheel hp, srt-4s were underrated from dodge and had more power then dodge said it did

  • no, that does not make sense... the stock turbo can hold 15psi to redline... so with your theory then 15psi @ redline with the stock turbo would make the same power as 15psi at redline with a t66 because "psi is the only thing that matters"

  • @98Integrapower I guess you are still talking to me. If the bigger turbo is moving more air, then the pressure would build higher trying to get into the heads (valves), and your PSI would just be higher. If the bigger turbo is making the same pressure as the smaller (15 vs 15) then air volume is the same. The air moves faster through the smaller turbo to keep up but the result is the same power. The bigger is more efficient due to lower air speed and back pressure.

  • @XfireBlake i promise i wouldnt make it up. i understand the srt4 is a cheap plastic neon but it has major potential. im boosting 24 psi on my 50 trim with full supporting mods.. i planned on doing an e85 setup but im just going to buy another fbody and built it n/a.. much more reliable and with heads cam and a tune i could get almost the same power.. the only corvette i will lose to is a c6 z06 with minor boltons.

  • @stevenjazrawi HAHA I'm not even calling it cheap plastic man! It's an SRT so Okay in my book;) I can see the c5 Z06 with 405 HP cuz I beat a couple of them by a little, but never the C6.  I have seen some neons break 100 in the 1/8th in person but they had one seat and full drag set up. I'm not saying it isn't possible, but not with 340 HP. Which of the cars in your videos is yours? The run to 130ish looked like my speedos pace for sure but that is more than 340 hp!

  • @XfireBlake im making 340 on a mustang dyno at speed industries in michigan. c5 z06s dont even have 340 on a mustang dyno and the fact that my car weighs about 600 pounds less than a vette also comes into play. All i have for videos are me racing a modded 6.0 gto up to 120 and me beating it by 3 cars and me beating stage 2 calibers

  • @stevenjazrawi A mustang dyno is only about 20 off of the most flattering dynojet, and my Crossfire put 350 to a Mustang dyno. What did you remove from your car to get all that weight off??? The neon is only 300 lbs lighter but the real handicap is traction until 3rd gear. I could easily see you beating the GTO that is almost a half ton heavier than a vette and the caliber of course, I will look again for the video:)

  • yea 24 psi is not acheivable on the stock turbo srt4..i use to have one before my MK6 Gti..the most it will do is a 21psi spike and hold about 18 at the most

    As for the content of the video:

    The SRT-4 is underrated among drivers, lots of potential, lots of power for such a layout. However, running 24 lbs of boost?? Something's going to blow very very soon.

  • @RadioPancakes ok sure but when you get older and sick of going in a straight line come talk to me. cuz going in a straight line isnt that much talent. that s2k would kill that neon in a course even if it boosts 24lbs. the car has alot of power straight forward but its missing alot of things for a track.

  • @98Integrapower If the boost is measured in the intake manifold as it should be, then the PSI is the only factor. You are mistaken, a bigger turbo is more efficient at high boost but 24 is 24 regardless. You can't get 24 on stock anyway, but that is why you go larger for peak boost. Listen to you trying to sound smart but just misinformed;)

  • @XfireBlake No you are misinformed lol your telling me then with your theory that 24psi on a gt45r would make the same power as 24psi on a stock turbo... because 24 is 24 psi....Psi is not a very big factor at all if you want something that is useful then you look for a measurement like cubic feet per minute flow at "x" psi. I took this in school, obviously you didnt, or maybe you were just misinformed.

  • @98Integrapower I'm not speaking a theory my friend, just facts. The PSI in you manifold is all that matters, not the source. The heads (valves) accept 24 psi in the same volume regardless of turbo or supercharger source. If you switch heads or cams, (thus valves allow in more volume at 24 psi) then you get more total volume and power. The same boost measured at the same place will always make the same power. If you don't believe it, you should look it up.

  • @98Integrapower As a follow up on CFM, that is used to measure the improvements due to porting, polishing and Teflon coating, etc. parts. My intake manifolds flow 270 each stock and after a bigger inlet tube, polishing and teflon coat they flow 330 cfm each. They increase HP in the higher RPM range were flow matters! I measure PSI from them and 18 is what hits the valves now. The extra flow does nothing until high rpm when the manifolds choked 18 psi BEFORE it hit valves.

HAHA All components of the intake until cylinders affect flow and your flow is based on the lowest flowing component! 24 psi will go through the slowest component at the same CFM no matter what turbo got it there! I have explained it the best I can, but please do some research before blindly calling me wrong:)

S2000's are awesome cars for what they are but if you want a nimble fast little car buy a Lotus elise. SRT4 =$10k less in 2004 and faster.

Learn to appreciate every car and stop hating on which ever so much. S2k's are AMAZING cars and so are SRT-4's, and so are EVOs, mustangs, vettes, ect.. The funny thing is, none of the haters even OWN any of the cars they try to defend.

  • I've driven both cars. I prefer the "hold you in your seat" torque of the fwd srt4 than the hurry up and wait of the high revving s2000. The only thing i preferred about the s2000 was rwd because a srt cannot fish tail around corners.

Why not go with the 2003-04 cobra? Just my opinion but I liked that body style better than the next. The brand new stang is beautiful though, which is hard for a GM guy to say I have owned 2 camaros.

  • @AgentStyles I have driven a lot of sports cars from a new mustang GT, a pretty powerful 2010 Mercedes, my current 2004 LS1 GTO, all the way down to four banger tuners like the cobalt ss supercharged that I had a couple years ago, and yes to my DD SRT4 stage two which I can say is a blast. So you haven't driven an SRT4, and I haven't driven an s2000, even though we both drive high powered muscle cars. I'm just tired of people talking trash on a car they haven't driven.

But you say you run low 13's so I won't call you a liar. Do you have any videos up? And is your car stock? I want a new 5.0, those things are bad. I saw a stock 2011 5.0 run like 12.8.

  • @smohan123 Last Crossfire convention at deals gap (tail of the dragon) I pushed an S2K until he gave up and pulled over for me. Then he tried to push me, but as he faded back he pushed harder until I saw him face the wrong way in my rear view;) He didn't hit anything thank goodness, I would have felt guilty;) They handle pretty good but not as well as the SRT 6. SRT is bang for buck hands down!

  • a stage 2 srt4 vs a stock s2000 not a very good race cause the neon is already a stage 2 plus it comes with a stock turbo. s2000 doesn't come with anything only thing good is its f20c motor producing around 220 to 230 hp and the neon already comes 260 to 300 if you tune the srt4 yes it will go fast but if you tune a easy hp picker upper honda it will be faster than that shitty sedan

  • Ive seen srt4s get raped but hondas to many times. srt 4 are just the 2.4 eclipse motor that cant beat an all motor b18c type r. srt 4= off the market

  • sorry to say but i have a 05 srt4 and for a fact u cant run 24 psi on the stock turbo, u can spike 30 psi but no matter what u do ur redline psi will b no more then 18 to 20..thats all the little td04 can handle without blowing a seal and spraying oil everywhere...but nice race..sorry the honda is slow, lol..ive spiked 23psi but no matter what it doesnt hold at redline it drops right down to 18 and i have stage 2 injectors and predator tune,
