I thought Diablo was a hand held tuner.

I just got mine 2 weeks ago with 40,000 miles on it.An 07 I put A K&N and custom welded some flowmasters on it using the stock tips.I moved them out an inch or so looks good check it out.I held 2nd tonight and got to 102 or 103 and shifted it ,didn't hit the limiter I was surprised It hit like 6,100 with no delay using the paddle.

@dontstreetrace You will want to get a tuner to turn off the DOD because with aftermarket mufflers it will sound like a Harley when running on 4 cylinders... Bopita Bopitah Bopitah.... I actually took it back and had the stock ones put back on until I got the tuner... I love the blue and the silver GXP's!

@Sc00teR2009 My man.YOOOO I finally got a tuner. Diablo doesn't make one for 07 and up gxps but superchips does.I loaded an update and shut off the DOD or AFM whatever anyways I went 13.50 at 102.52 at the track with that and welded flowmaster mufflers.Not to Bad.

@dontstreetrace I had a superchips in a 97 S10 I was very happy with it also! Still have my GXP and love it as much as ever. Sits in garage most of the time been driving my GMC sierra for sailey driver now.

The sunroof or the wipers maybe making the noise.Maybe even the molding on windshield.gap in the body line.thats a tuff one.

what tune or hand held program,6,500 plus rpm.

@dontstreetrace Very Custom Diablo Sport Tune. Ran 10-12 logs for them and they sent me half a dozen tunes before they felt it was just right for my elevation and intake/exhaust setup. Car still runs super strong with 120K+ miles just like new.

@mysteriousblu2 in my case it is the Sun Roof... @ 156 is opens enough to sound like a jet engine roaring instead of a sweet whistle...

I used to get that same buzzing sound over 100mph. I'm pretty sure it was the rubber around the sunroof. Any transmission problems ( yet ) ?

@VitaminE6SS i have this car verrry nice man. No these are 4 speeds. Your like WOAH right?? hah yea thats the only thing if i had to change one thing about these cars is at least drop a 5 speed in it. But the 4 speed does alright :) they are big gears also, I get to about 50 just in 1st gear on mine

@bigrudeth Yeah that thing moves! I didnt know they had paddle shifters either! Very nice. My HHR SS is also a 4 speed auto which has its disadvantages but also has some advantages too. Like yours, my 1st gear goes to 50mph which gets me to 60mph in 5.5 seconds and to 100 in 13.6! I would lose to your car though!

Potenza's were very noisy and the traction was not the best. I have never had Nitto's on this car but I have bought them for other cars and they seem to be ok. KDW's do not last as long as either of the other brands but man they perform flawlessly!

Yea I agree the Potenzas do seem to howl a bit, I did a bunch of research and decided to go with the Kumho Ecsta's.....if you ever need another set of tires for your GXP go Kumho, you won't be disappointed.
