If so, do you still consider the film a rip-off or do you see "Repo Men" as a film with a similar premise but taken the premise in a different direction (i.e. like how both "Armageddon" and "Deep Impact" both feature the same premise, but one is more of an action movie while the other is a character-based drama)?

very true but the guys who created Repo! The Genetic Opera must have thought of the idea years before 2007, some even say it originally started in 1996 when one of the writer's friends was going through bankruptcy and he thought of the concept of organ repossession.

But meh...I don't really care who thought of what first, I'm sure they weren't the only guys in the universe who thought of it, they just took the concept and turned it into something everyone could see.
