All I wanted to know was how this belief originated. We do not have the burden of proof on claims such as this. For instance, I DON'T KNOW if there was a plot to kill Lincoln way before John Wilks Booth, but the evidence for that is rejected by most historians based on probability and unconvincingness.
In the same way, I don't have all the knowledge of the world, but the lack of scientists and intellectuals conforming to such vague theories makes me doubt their veracity.

All I wanted to know was how this belief originated. We do not have the burden of proof on claims such as this. For instance, I DON'T KNOW if there was a plot to kill Lincoln way before John Wilks Booth, but the evidence for that is rejected by most historians based on probability and unconvincingness.
In the same way, I don't have all the knowledge of the world, but the lack of scientists and intellectuals conforming to such vague theories makes me doubt their veracity.

Logical fallacy, even IF I was lecturing you while being in a bad positon to do so, which I won't for a second admit, the fact remains that you have to think. "You" being anyone.
Yesterday an acquaintance told me about their little conspiracy theory based almost entirely on the premise that his government was not to be trusted. I asked him why he didn't question the person who told him. Logically, the answer is that he appeals to anyone who questions, paranoid or not.
