  • 1 dislike?? WTF??

  • still amaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing!

  • 01-01-2012;Desdinova seems like 'e's-'ole imaginos' running-buddy.I anxiously await the empowerment of this inexplicably talented array of musicians here, on YouTube, without more.Obviously some of the craftiest guitar work I heard.Crumple-on unkle BoC!-Seclusionos.

  • Just call me Desdinova.

  • This track features Marc Biedermann on guitar.

"Marc Biedermann was laying down a monstrous track for a Blind Illusion album, recorded and mastered at Hyde Street where manager of Blue Öyster Cult, Sandy Pearlman, overheard. Pearlman on the spot, went over, introduced himself, and invited Biedermann to be in the Guitar Orchestra of Imaginos."

  • Awesome! Why don't the radio stations play this?

  • @HeartlessBytchh You listen to the radio? heh

  • @HeartlessBytchh becouse in U.S.A. the menagers of the radios, are alls cock sucker just like mariah carrey beyoncé.. and all this bunch of bitches...

  • if someone does not like this song they will taste my fist of B.O.C power i tattooed my right arm with the symbol of lead,Chronos,Roman god saturn, and of course this band. in one symbol

  • WE DON T NEED REMASTER THANKS. WE LIKE OLDSCHOOL SOUND

  • where can i find the tabs for the awesome solo that starts 2:48?

  • This sounds a little Ace Frehley like and that my friends is a good thing, Im loving this song.

  • This is my 2nd favorite BOC album behind only Spectres.

  • Fantastic!

  • Ive seen boc 5 times and could never understand why they never implemented any songs from imaginos into their on stage playlist.

  • Bad blood between Albert and the other members doomed any further live renditions after 1989. Columbia dropped the band that year and they reverted back to a 70's cover band of themselves practically. Eric and Buck have conflicting stories about the album but a common thread seems to be "it isn't really our record". So the best BOC album is really a BOC and friends project. I did catch the Imaginos tour in 1988 and it rocked. They went straight downhill from there.

  • @bocno1fan When I saw them in 1989 they did, but not since.

  • SG Dharma powah.

  • This song is just mean from beginning to end.

    Awesome.

    H!

  • @RealVeracity "as symbols"...we are...evolution...existing as an individual (me moreYmirror) step/s a/side...from deformed gene ratios "only the lonely".

  • Soft White Underbelly,,,Stalk Forrest group,,,,

  • What is it about this song, simply brilliant, I never get tired of listening to it and I still have the cassette I bought new in '88. There's very few songs in my collection that are this old that I can listen to and it's still as fresh as the first time I heard it. "I am the one you warned me of", "In the presence of another world"' and "Les Invisibles" are my 3 favorite BOC songs and are close to the top of my personal all time list.

  • @Metalefty67 I can't stop listening to this song either. The lyrics are brilliant and the music is clearly the work of masters.

  • last good record from BOC.

  • @thefoppa1000 - I can't really agree with you. I think "Heaven Forbid" and especially "The Curse of the Hidden Mirror" are too really good album. The later one I would even dare call great :)

  • Sad, but true...

  • Sad, but true...

  • Its such a shame that, even though one actually exists, it's impossible to scrape up the imaginos CD.

The world is really missing out on something.

  • @holoelfson you can get it on amazon

  • These guys won't run out of talent until they die.

  • Does the new version have a better sound? this was done really well, but some stuff got buried at the wrong times:)

  • Desdinova is mentioned in this song and Astronomy, I think Desdinova is a star on the other hand Desdemona is a demon, so it's demons star, I think. Blue oyster cult is the band who gave some mystery to Rock. It's definitely my favorite band, but not many people know of this band, which is weird. Cause this band is divine. Every song is divine, and lyrics are woooooooow.

  • ~.:.~ Guitar by Marc Biedermann ~.:.~

  • is there a chance metallica could have gotten some inspiration from this song? it sounds like somtehing they could have done.. or at least similar to their early work

  • @Mikekarstensen maby not this song as much, but Metallica has covered some BOC... So they obviously were an inspiration to Metallica.

  • There is a cd version of this album, but the question is where to buy it?

  • got mine on eBey :)

  • Try Amazon, mate! That's where I got mine anyway.

  • Hey !!! k9, there is a new release of Imaginos, and even when it hasn't the nice booklet as the original, is an original. But of course, if you look for the '88 release, you must go to ebay, or if you live at California, try Amoeba Records, but easier on ebay.

  • @kimmoj9 Yes, go to any store that has good collection, and they should have it in a new release, not remastered or any improvement, and lack of the booklet, so my best advice is getting it cheaper at the store, because could get out of print, and then go te e-bay to see the original one with booklet, released '88. Good luck

  • Thank's for putting this song on youtube ...this album is virtually un-played elsewhere...

#5 Frankenstein's etc.etc.etc.etc. (dare ya to spell it correctly) is awesome too!

  • 2 mins 12 seconds ... oh wow . always does me

  • i am the one you warned me of

i am the one who never never lie (s S s)

    who am i?

  • I wonder why Joe Satriani played on this album? Very mysterious!

  • why? because he rules... BOC rules... it was the perfect combination... like putting pepperoni on a pizza...

  • irish you know ...yes why would he play ahhh ?????

  • and at 2:49 when the 1st solo lead starts...absolute SHIVERS!

  • @kealsta That's Desdinova ringing tunes from the belfry.

  • Great song

  • The only dud song for me was Tattoo Vampire.

  • @beefoneeto Nooooo lol, tell me you'd listen to Tattoo Vampire over Celestial the Queen?:O both good songs tho.

  • @bstensland

I never cared much for Tattoo Umpire(hehe).Love Celestial The Queen another Joe B Who type song.

  • People say that BOC had some dud songs. Well, that's the price of brilliance. They had a higher batting average of great songs than any other band - EVER.. Do you dare dispute?

  • i personally think the same about tarot, beatles, dream theater, opeth, etc etc

  • teachmike2000

well those people obviously dont know what music is

each one of BOC'S songs are like a new and original fruit of creativeness and uniqueness

almost every single band today is influenced by these guys.

    long live boc

  • agreed... agreed so much that it hurts a little..

  • @teachmike2000 no, no sir, I dare not:)

  • 2:13 classic

  • That riff is a monster. Can you imagine how it would sound with a good remastering and on a big set of speakers? Christ. Lets hope!

  • @JohnnyFox86 yes, i can imagine, mabey even - imaginos O.o

  • It`s Satriani by the way...

  • @Andronizer its MARC BIEDERMANN PLAYING THE BUCK SOUNDING CHIMY GUITAR ATPLAY TUNES ON IT'S BELLFRY and at the end of I am Also BIEDERMANN plays the lead solos on in the presence and Frankenstein

  • @dannyelsobrante I know he played on the album but where does it say he played those solos?

  • @dannyelsobrante SATCH plays lead guitar on Siege and Investiture of Baron Von Frankensteins Castle at Wesseria my friend - the only one that satchy plays in

  • @Andronizer Are you talking about this album. It is Buck Dharma on

    lead.

  • @Andronizer Um.. Joe Satriani was never a member of BOC....duh!

  • Track 1.... fuck yeah!!

  • The first one of the album Imaginos ! The introduction ! I especially love the verse ! "I am the one you warned me of"... The vocals and the guitars are magnificent !!! Thank you, bro !!!

  • Yes, I do find this riff to be quite invigorating... sort of a whiff of audio absyinthe. It is indeed superb and worthy of worship.

  • Alice In Chains ripped this one off quite nicely.

  • Which Alice In Chains song rips it off?

  • Man In The Box.

  • The original lineup of B.O.C. with a devastating force of guitarists and core musicians to harness the most heavy and uncompromising metal records of the 20th Century. IMAGINOS!!

  • I agree! Superbly put ! Brilliant!

  • Tracks from this album remind me of what a great rock singer Eric Bloom was at this time!!

  • One of my fave BOC tracks of all time!! It's true to say that BOC produeced some duff songs, but when they were on form they were as good as anyone, on disc or live.

  • that sux boc has alot of shitty songs as well as the good

  • That's true of all of the other songs, but "I Am..." is probably the most BOC-sounding song of them all. I saw BOC at the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz last July. You're right, Eric Bloom can't sing like that anymore. That's probably why they won't play songs like 'Astronomy' or the 'Subhuman' at their live shows.

  • whoo great track! that killer riff what?!

  • Agreed!! Why is'nt this in this the top 5 riffs of all time?? What a Monster!!!

  • one of the best tracks off the greatest album of the 80s. not bad for a group who also released possibly the greatest rock album of ALL TIME: secret treates. everybody say "amen".

  • many many thanks for that -- one of the ultimate heavy metal tracks ever -- an awe inspiring impervious fortress of guitars and drums

  • One great BOC song!

  • Not really BOC, call it an Albert Bouchard solo project. Other than Albert the other original band member's involvement and carrying forward of this project was minimal other than vocal and guitar overdubs. If you can spot the contribution(s) of Joe Bouchard and Allen Lanier give yourself a cee-gar. The bonus though of Imaginos is that Eric Bloom's vocal performance was good, too bad he can't sing like this nowadays.

  • It's really a shame that it turned out that way. What a terrible shame.

Should have been the crowning glory of their career. Such a grand project, and just look what happened!

It's my very favourite BOC ever!
