wow. i heard the voice. that is very creepy. im 14 and i live down the road from the old corbin hospital. a few days ago in the corbin paper they did a story of it and about it being haunted. its going to be demolished in two weeks :( ive lived in corbin all my life and ive never been up and close to it, so today my dad took me there and we drove around the place a couple of times. i had a really strange and negative feeling around the place. but really, i truly belive its haunted.

I so have lived right in the area and those sounds do not come out of that building ESPECIALLY DURING THE DAY! if it was or is haunted, the place is going to be gone soon so... maybe we will never know but that shit was so fake..even i could have done a better job! i could have convinced people more by telling them the stories ppl have told going in or what has happened when i went in!
That's EVP pandaemonium! Not to be rude, but it seems just a little too much to me...it doesn't have the cadence of the EVPs I've heard and recorded and there just seems to be too many different sounds. I wouldn't out and out call it a hoax, but I'm not personally convinced.
It sounds weird because I recorded for nearly an hours and this is at a higher rate of speed. I never said it is real, it just sounds very freaky. I did not alter the recording other than speeding it up.
EVPs are either immediately audible (and rather short) or require the audio to be slowed down 125-800%, rather than sped up. 'Ultrafast' EVPs are more detailed & interactive, often with multiple voices and/or sounds. They're usually more difficult to hear, though because of the harmonics generated by slowing & amplifying them. I've recorded many hundreds of EVPs & listened to thousands but I've never encountered one where the tape was sped up to hear them. It's an amazing find if it's real.

It is still up. I think they plan to demolish it in October. It isn't really save to enter, though. Plus security is getting really tight.
